They're supposed to buy their own ticket back home
Why not? They can afford it...they've got all the jobs.

Tell that to the poster that suggested that we give them a ticket back home.

Yeah, the fruit picking jobs are being snapped up by US citizens left and right down here ... NOT.
You need to read up...less than 2% are actually picking those veggies. The rest are infiltrating entire industries like restaurants, hotels, landscaping etc. They're currently displacing American construction workers at a record clip. Just wait until the NAFTA provision kicks in and allows those third world deathtraps on ALL the roads in America. There won't be a citizen truck driver to be found.
How many jobs do you think we should give these people?

And illegal labor does nothing for us economically. We end up subsidizing the lower wages with free education, free health care, and other welfare. And it allows inefficient businesses to stay in business and discourages productivity improvements such as automation. Brilliant. Bears repeating.

And how would having a driver's license solve that problem? 90% of the people that have a license are horrible drivers.

*scratches head* Could the truth be somewhere in the middle? Maybe he was aiming a statement at Cuban voters. I guess I'd better do some research, eh? :)
Thanks for the links!

When the licenses were issued, they were here legally.

Why do I feel like the world is falling apart today? Because evil is prospering, right is wrong, and wrong is right?

What you said is possible I suppose. I didn't realize that this was from a Blog, and I guess there is no confirmation? I am in favor of tracking illegals if they are going to let them be here that is for sure. Problem I have is, if they are here illegally, send them back, but that just isn't going to happen anymore obviously.
Question summer, since you live in Florida, will the citizen's there be angry if this does happen as we were in California? I wonder about that because you obviously have a lot of liberals there, just as we do. However here, the public went ballistic over Davis granting licenses for illegals.

Yet with an IDL, they would have to register as a visitor agreeing to go home , limiting their stay, it would not allow banking as to be able to wire money out of the country or voting privileges and social services as a state license would, which is really what the licenses issue is all about , and not driving at all! Bingo! You broke the code. In this country, the drivers license is the breeder document that leads to every other legal document -- and just about every handout/entitlement that our pandering political pissants can dream up.
The only people who need special dispensations for a drivers license or a bogus piece of ID like the matricula consulares are illegal aliens. A real honest to God legal alien has more legitimate documentation than most native born citizens.

Apparently Jeb Bush doesn't want to be President. George W doesn't act like he wants to be President either. Just like Dad did...

Oh my God, I hope they seal off California and put a mine field around it......Er, wait a minute, Florida? Bush?
