PHILADELPHIA, Nov. 21 (UPI) -- An 18-year-old single father whose struggle raising his toddler daughter was featured in People magazine has been killed in Philadelphia.
Terrell Pough was shot in the head on his way home from work Thursday night and later died at Temple University Hospital, the Philadelphia Inquirer reported.
Police said they have no suspects but do have a possible lead. No further details of the slaying were released.
The August issue of People profiled Pough, who worked as the night manger at a local restaurant while attending school full-time and raising his daughter, Diamond, who will be 2 on Nov. 27.
"She's what I work for, what I live for, why I wake up," he told People. "She's everything."
Diamond, who had full-custody of his daughter, had planned to work in construction after graduating next June.
"If something ever happens to me, no one can ever tell her that her dad didn't take care of her," he told People.
My prayers are offered for this young man who was so tragically killed. May the Lord bring comfort and strength to his family, and watch over and protect his young daughter.

I have come to her defense numerous times so you are being less than truthful. Why do you get so upset about someone having an opinion different than yours? Sounds like the liberals. My way or not way, huh?
Maybe you should review your Bible and see what it says about taking the sinner aside to admonish him. It's people like you who glorify sin that really worries me. Unless of course you disagree with what the Bible has to say about sex outside of marriage, especially 15 year olds. I'm not sure how you have come to the conclusion that this behavior should be defended. Forgiveness is wonderful but preventing the problems sin causes is important, too. Why reward sin?
Also, I had it pointed out to me last night that this is one of the reason things have gotten so out of hand in America. Thses are the same people who refused to speak up 30 or 40 years ago when this stuff started. They refuse to speak out against it today even though we have seen the devastating effects.
Also, I hear it has been pointed out elsewhere that Howlin did lie about what I said. She has me confused with another poster.
Please know that I don't worry about whether or not someone thinks I am popular on Freerepublic. I think it speaks more about their life than it does mine. But I appreciate your words.

WHO on this thread SUPPORTS out of wedlock birth to teens (black or white)? First you tell people that you DON'T read the original article and summarize it to mean the 'bragging' of a sad lifestyle. Now you are accusing conservatives here of supporting OOW births.
I don't understand where you get your conclusions. From what I've read of all these posts, NOT ONE supported OOW births. You might want to consider retaking Reading Comprehension 101.
