Regarding your post, training might be more problematic. Have you ever read Lines and Shadows by Joseph Wambaugh? A pretty good true story about, in some ways, what we are talking about here...JFK

You are correct in everything you say except one thing. 15,000 of those 15,000 will be terrorist sympathizers. Well , maybe 14,999 but you get the point.

I don't know exactly what you find wrong with #210 but Powell is bad news. He doesn't even want to get Sadam. The guy is a milktoast of a politician. Not anywhere near Secretary of State material. He is there for the same reasons we will not solve the immegration issues ; because the American people are ignorant.
In the heady times after the Gulf War ( before we realized how much we screwed up ) he was very popular. That popularity stuck wisely because he distenced himself from politics at the time and therefore wrongly didn't become tained with the air of defeat.
Powell is consistently wrong.

The job description of Secretary of State will answer those questions.

The job description of Head of state, answers a few more.

The democrats have been trying to drive a wedge into the administration since they took control. This is poitics in the raw form. In my opinion, the Adminisration is doing a excellent job on all counts.

It is the Congress that makes law and policy regarding immigration. The Justice Dept., Border Patrol and others enforce those laws. The Dept. of State tries to smooth ruffled feathers and tries to avoid probable conflicts, using the people it has and the policies of the administration.

I do not understand, just what it is that you expect from Powell?

He has done everything the president has asked him to do, and he serves at his pleasure.

As long as we have our current corrupt government paid for by businesses that seriously profit from the illegal labor, NOTHING can be done. Nothing. Stop illegals today, tomorrow they will be back. They get free welfare, medical, education, and jobs that pay five times more than they would make in Mexico. Businesses get CHEAP labor, even if it isn't any good, it is good enough to make profit.

Not one business has said no to illegal labor. The INS could care les, as long as that person pays taxes.

To our corrupt and dishonest government, it believes that a poor citizen is a controllable one. The wealthier we are they more the government hates us.

No matter who gets elected, they get absorbed into the system. The system, itself, is corrupt to its core. It has absolute power, and many powers it should not, and is not supposed to have.

Over time, the government has usurped powers from We the People. We need to take back those powers, or else illegal immigration will never be curbed.

I post the following thoughts, for discussion purposes only. It is not meant to inflame or create negative discourse.

The entire western civilized world has one problem in common!

As I study the immigration problem, I try to stand back from it, and view it on a macro level. In doing this, I find some connected issues.

The western white European world, as a group, is growing old. We are not replacing our numbers at a rate that will fund our social programs the the aging population is entitled to by law.

The third world population, is on the other hand, burgeoning with young. They are busting at the seams.

In the view of some, this fact makes immigration a necessity and critical to the future of our society.

The problems on our southern border are related to this. Mexico has a pressure problem, and it bleeds that pressure off in our direction.

The primary problem with this is that we cannot absorb and adjust to this invasion. We cannot continue to take millions of un-educated and un-healthy migrants at the rate we now are. We must be able to screen these people and absorb them at a rate that does not create chaos.

I am sure, that if we put aside petty argument in favor of cogent and factual dialog, we can come to a understanding and some new immigration laws that will benefit those on all sides of this issue.

It must be done.

We need to march en masse on our State Capitols demanding that they enforce the immigration laws or else we will stop paying taxes.

I agree with what you say, but first we need to clean the country out of the illegal aliens who broke our laws. We do not need to gratify anyone who breaks our laws by granting them a Free Pass to stay here. America was built on laws and now is not the time to change that for the benefit of any criminals.

Thanks much for the quick response.

I don't know that we'll win this war to preserve our American Culture and Sovereignty, but we have successfully dragged this issue out into the sunshine.

Sure appreciate your warrior spirit, and the wealth of info and creativity you bring to the battle.

For America.

Absolutely true!

They must go back and come through the hopefully rigorous backround checks to get back in.

This will cause some problems, but if done right, and properly explained, the job will be relatively smooth and effective.

Connie, Replacing the socialist idiots Canada has now would do a lot for North America. Imagine sending home 9/10ths of the lying refugees you are now supporting?
