Well, well, well. And yet another anti-Freeper site springs up: http://www.freerepublicsucks.s5.com/crackdownmay2003.htm We must be doing something right to have so many Bush haters hating us so much. Well, we wish you luck. You'll have plenty of competition from FR haters.

No, they won't. Jim, you know full well that this latest "Anti-FReeper" Site will die on the vine, same as all the rest. Why? A very simple reason -- absent all the Politics, all the so-called "purges", and all the rancor between the "Anti-FReepers" and the so-called "Powers That Be", the fact remains that you and John Robinson have built the most responsive, user-friendly Public Debate Forum on the entire Net.

Be proud of your Son, whom you have trained well (he lost an HTML-hacking challenge against Lazamataz, of course, but everyone loses against Lazamataz). John Robinson kicks ass and takes names when it comes to running the mechanics of the "smartest, hardest-hitting political website on the Net." (as Don Morgan used to say -- remember him?)

But at the same time... if you will permit me to quote some Pantera, "Never forget... where you come from."

For the record, even though I was a passionate advocate of Steve Forbes in the Primaries (and YOU were an advocate of Alan Keyes, JR), I never actually accused Bush of being a "coke-head". Mainly because I would not have cared if he was.

Never snorted coke, and I don't care to -- but I've known a few Frat Boys who have, and they still managed to make something of themselves. That was my opinion of GW Bush -- I couldn't really care less if he snorted Coke, or Paint Fumes, when he was a young Kid partying at Yale; he was just insufficiently Conservative for my tastes.

Well, in GW's defense, 9-11 grew him up real fast. The Vietnam-AWOL Frat Boy showed up to the plate and did his job... God forbid that Al Gore woulda been our "Commander in Chief". Eee-gads.

But, if you will permit me to say so... so did FDR. The fact that FDR stepped up to the plate in World War II -- that does not confer God's Almighty Blessing on FDR's Welfare State, or FDR's "wink-wink-say-no-more!" acceptance of the Stalinist domination of christian Eastern Europe.

In short... though he opposed the Nazis, FDR still subverted the Republic at the same time. Virtue in one respect does not justify Vice in another.

The same is true of George W. Bush.

It ain't just "Defense" and "Homeland Security", either -- that's the Billion$ for the Bush-Kennedy "education bill", the Billion$ for the "farm bill", the Billion$ of "steel tariffs" (screw you, Detroit!), the Billion$ for "faith-based socialism", the Billion$ for "tripled foreign aid" -- the whole bag. Remember this -- every single Dollar taken out of a Taxpayer's pocket, is a Dollar which that Taxpayer might have spent to purchase better Health Insurance for his children. Federal Spending actually kills real human beings.

And even if Bush is taking care of business on the War Front -- the fact remains, he is spending like a drunken sailor on the Domestic Front. And that matters, because Federal Spending kills -- slowly but surely, one case at a time, but as deadly as any Terrorist.

And if you will permit me to sound like a bleeding-heart (or, perhaps, like "Jim Robinson 1999"), we are still fighting this useless Drug War, also. Which costs EVERY AMERICAN (Man, Woman, Child, and Infant) at least $200 dollars per year, every year. Close to $1,000 per-family, per-year... to accomplish NOTHING. Nothing except permanently destroying the Future Employability of 1 out of every 3 Black Kids who get stuck with a Criminal Record, while 1 out of every 3 White Kids (who smoke just as much marijuana) get off scot-free. Living in the suburbs, it's kinda "swept under the table" -- they're "just kids", ya know??

Meanwhile, as White Kids toke up in record numbers, we are still dumping millions of Black Kids into the American Prison System, an institution which practically borders on the Satanic. "It makes me physically ill when I hear a (so-called) 'conservative' crack jokes about drug-pushers being sent to jail where they will encounter homosexual rape and other horrors which make our prisons so disgustingly bad that we owe an apology to the Inquisition. ~~ Michael Pierce, "If Only The Fuhrer Knew". Mr. Peirce fought with the Rhodesian freedom fighters (the Ian Smith side, of course). http://www.lewrockwell.com/peirce/peirce63.html

I'm a Monthly Contributor to Free Republic, but you can Ban my paltry $10 bucks a month if you see fit. Because I like the Jim Robinson of 1999.

I won't begrudge George W. Bush his excellence in the War on Terror. The first duty of every American President is to defend his Citizens.

But that's not his only duty.

His duty is to the Constitution. And as far as that goes... I'm all about Free Republic 1999.

As always, JMHO.

It seems that FRS only exists for the sake of taking what is written here and reproducing, spinning, and taking out of context. Let's choke off their means of doing so by denying permission to our words.

I for one consider my posts here at Free Republic to be my property, and I claim copyright over my posts. I hope this raises no objection with the staff of FR, my only intention is to deny to trolls over at FRS the right to copy anything I post here. Since I know FRS is lurking here, I will publicly state the following:

PUBLIC NOTICE

My posts are not to be reproduced in whole or in part on another forum (ie Free Republic Sucks). Reproducing of any posts by me without my prior consent may result in civil action without further warning. Reproduction of posts by me will also be viewed as a binding agreement by the party responsible for reproduction to pay me $5000.00 (US dollars) for each occurrence. The forum hosting my words without my consent will also agree to pay me $5000.00 (US dollars) for each occurrence. I grant users of the Free Republic permission to quote from my posts so long as the quotation is used solely on Free Republic and not on any other forum.

End of Public notice.

To my fellow freepers - I grant you permission to copy and modify this public notice with your own name so that you may prevent FRS from reproducing your posts.

Is that a real "Bush is a cokehead" post by you?

Jim, your site is always going to engender an emotional hook that is endearing to most all and tormenting to others.

I got wise the first time I came here ... Billie posted an animated GIF of a chimpanzee jumping around and labeled it "Hey Ash, your mother is calling."

FR has singularly weilded that level of surprise and delight since back then and ... no other BBS I've ever seen has provided the tools and resources for wise asses to use image, animation and paint weaponry ... within the standard interface ... to be really really evil wise asses.

Registered is Olliphant and Herblock times ten. He's Gerry Larson, minus the animal pathology.

Do you realize how many 60-70 year old Freepers blundered into this forum barely able to find the "Enter" key, and are now using Photoshop to annoy their grandchildren, especially when they replace their granddaughters boyfriend with an image of the "nice boy you used to go out with." But, there you go! A bulletin board that energizes people, even when we missed the boundless can-do optimism of Buckeroo all those months.

There is always something funny and altogether inappropriate two posts down on any given thread. Can you imagine if somebody put a multimedia presentation together of all the Hillary Clinton photos that have been tweaked here? With background music of "Tubular Bells"?

The worst nightmare in darkest hell for the proprietor of Democraticunderground.com is for us to get a picture of him. I am terrified at the bovine orafices he'd be springing from.

I apologize for the rudeness of my previous remark, but people I have known personally appear to be getting banned for rather flimsy reasons. Askel5 gets banned as a "Saddam Sympathizer," when she's as "right-wing" as they come. A good friend of mine got banned recently for taking issue with some glib remarks people were making about that lady who got run over by a bulldozer in Palestinian territory. I'll admit he did use the term "neo-nazi" but anyone can handle that, whether on this forum or in a boxing ring. :-)

In short, with all due respect to your labors, either you or your admin moderators seem to be running wild. Even Clinton's a Liar was banned some time ago! Don't worry, I don't think FreeRepublic sucks, but the ease of censorship definitely disturbs me.

FreeRepublic is responsible for helping turn my mom into a Republican! She was a lifelong Democrat until circa 1997.

My dad, interestingly enough, is becoming increasingly liberal, although he's been conservative his whole life. Can someone explain this? I thought individuals were more likely to either stay conservative or become more conservative with age. Isn't that the case, usually?

What to do... What to do...

"Crackdown!UP!"

By Edgar HallUGH, Political Editor An Obvious Drop-out from Public Schools

WHEN crusading Conservative Jim Robinson first set up Free Republic six years ago, he had high hopes for his message board, baby...

...If posters wanted to sound off against the government, that was just fine with Jim. And (Poor grammar) iIf one of those posters happened to believe George W. (period after an initial) Bush was a "cokehead felon,(no space needed)" good luck to him!

...Nowadays such attacks on Dubya are mightilyy (use an adjective here) unwelcome - don't you know there's a war on? (this is ridiculous!) - and a new breed of "Texas Chainsaw" moderators has (Improper use of helping verb, use the singular, not the plural. It should be 'moderators have') instructions to stamp down on any insubordination.

This was fun, but I'm bored now with his ignorance and whining.
