Memorable quotes from Emergency!

Not that I've read. Julie London and Bobby Troup have both passed away.

Yes! The first two seasons were awful, but it was redeemed by better writing in subsequent seasons.

I'm still pissed that Universal has only released the first season of Kojak so far.

I found this on the Kojak message board on IMDB:

Kojak Season 2 on R2 DVD this June!

Good news for those of you with access to a region 2 or region free DVD player. Universal Home Video is releasing the second season of Kojak in Europe on June 26, 2006. It is available at Play.com, and will sell for about £28($50).

Episodes comprise:

1. The Chinatown Murders (1)
2. The Chinatown Murders (2)
3. Hush Now, or You'll Die
4. A Very Deadly Game
5. Wall Street Gunslinger
6. Slay Ride
7. Nursemaid
8. You Can't Tell a Hurt Man How to Holler
9. The Best Judge Money Can Buy
10. A Souvenir from Atlantic City
11. A Killing in the Second House
12. The Best War in Town
13. Cross Your Heart and Hope to Die
14. The Betrayal
15. Loser Takes All
16. Close Cover Before Killing
17. Acts of Desperate Men
18. Queen of the Gypsies
19. Night of the Piraeus
20. Elegy in an Asphalt Graveyard
21. The Good Luck Bomber
22. Unwanted Partners
23. Two-Four-Six for Two Hundred
24. The Trade-Off
25. I Want to Report a Dream

If you do not have access to region 2, you should still contact Universal Home Video and complain about the failure to release this set in the U.S. at the contact form linked below.

It took them long enough (a year and a half!).

Souvenier from AC is one of my favorite episodes.

GREATEST TV COP OR DETECTIVE EVER!:

I've been reading Randy Mantooth's website for several years now. I've found and have purchased a couple of Julie's CD's. She had a beautiful voice.

Has todays tv shows gotten so bad that we have oldies on DVD now?

Good Lord I must be getting as old as my years if I am clicking on to a tv oldies thread.

What was that Medical tv show that had the Dr. who lived in his RV in the Hosp. parking lot.

I miss Marcus Welby, Mannix, Canon oh and Adam 12!

I read here at FR that they are going to make a Magnum P I movie.

I was not a big fan of the tv show but I was/am a big Tom Selleck fan.

How come men don't look like that anymore? They seem so small and frail.

Looking forward to the SuperBowl and basketball Season. : )

BTW: Why is Universal releasing Kojak in Europe and not here? If they do have plans to release it in the US, why are they releasing it in Europe first? I mean Kojak is an American program. Is/Was Kojak more popular in Europe than here in the states?

That one guy who played the Dr. most of the time was the all-time worst over actor I ever saw.

He was like a parody of a bad actor.

They were always starting an I.V. of D5W whatever the hell that was.

But we never missed the show, when I was kid. We could get into a good thread about 70's TV here someday ;)

What was that Medical tv show that had the Dr. who lived in his RV in the Hosp. parking lot.

That was Trapper John, MD

Working with Trapper was an admiring young doctor named Gonzo Gates, whose brash, irreverent attitude and love of life reminded Trapper of his own youth. Gonzo, the hospital Lothario (who lived in an R.V. parked in the hospital parking lot), had even served in an army M.A.S.H. unit himself, during the Vietnam War, and was a talented surgeon.

I miss Marcus Welby, Mannix, Canon oh and Adam 12!

Season 1 of Adam-12 was released on DVD last year
