HOLYOKE, Mass. -- Haleigh Poutre's birth mother is expected to file a court motion seeking more of a say in her daughter's medical care.

Allison Avrett plans to appear in Holyoke Juvenile Court on Wednesday.

Haleigh, 12, has been hospitalized since police say her adoptive mother and stepfather severely beat her in September.

About a week after taking custody of the Westfield girl in September, the Department of Social Services sought permission to remove her from life support.

That is the wrong impression people get when one innocently tries to help the poor thing over the fence. At least he chose sheep over Goats and didn't pull the wool over their eyes, but now we know he is on the lamb.

That is the still untold megastory of the year. It defies explanation.

I need to ck Charlie Crist's donations for governor's race to see if John Travolta, et al have donated to his campaign. Travolta believes humans came from spaceships all dreamed up by sci-fi author Ron Hubbard who's been deceased for years.

Remember this scene? I think this was from week 1 and the very graphic sign wasn't up that long. There were a lot of nazi and holocaust referenced signage throughout this shameful act by the govt. Yes, boys and girls, the government did interfere by promoting and planning Terri's murder right down to hiring extra Wackenhut guards to make sure that Terri would not survive her torture.

Bone chilling reminder. I remember the cop power walks and the SWAT teams there to protect the killing procedure. We were the enemy, literally at gunpoint.

You had to be there is an apt way to put it.

That made me as sick as what was going inside at Hospice Woodside. Not only had Terri been denied her rights and outside it didn't feel like we were in our country.

Just saying it was awful is an understatement. It was brutal.

The only thing that surprises me about entertainers is finding one who's normal. Most of them compete frantically -- and with spectacular success -- to see who can be the most idiotic and depraved.

On another thread by NYer, with thanks to TheSarce, Coleus<

So why is there an extended wait for kids with special needs, who are usually more difficult to place with families? The reason might be: the growing acceptance of aborting babies with Down syndrome.

Once again, we can take heart in the rightness of our efforts by seeing who hate us. Here is a work from People's Weekly World and written by John Conyers, Jr., Ranking Democrat on the Judiciary.

If the communists liked us and if the democrats liked us and if the death lovers liked us we should be worried indeed.

And they plucked this from their pals at dailykos at that.

Why we act

Terri's death was horrific. And our officials, who were just fine with it, go around telling other countries to apparently be more like us. And then there were all those illegal and/or sadistic stunts pulled by Judge Greer and Michael.

Well, fancy that, the ranking Democrat on the House Judiciary Committee writing for the Communists. Where have you gone, Joe McCarthy!

Here is how PWW describes itself. (Evidently the McCarthyite "Reign of Terror" is over in this country because they brag about what was once regarded as sedition.)

The People’s Weekly World / Nuestro Mundo is a national, grassroots weekly newspaper and the direct descendant of the Daily Worker....

The PWW is known for its partisan coverage. We take sides — for truth and justice. We are partisan to the working class, racially and nationally oppressed peoples, women, youth, seniors, international solidarity, Marxism and socialism. We enjoy a special relationship with the Communist Party USA, founded in 1919, and publish its news and views.

PWW (Conyers): "...the tragic Terri Schiavo case..."

They ALWAYS call it "tragic" because they support a tragic result: Terri's death. It's like saying, with the bioethicists, "This is a tragic case. Kill her!"

Check this out some time: NDE site takes surprising stand in favor of euthanasia (Look under the heading "NDEs and Suicide.") You would think a site that foresees life after death would pay some attention to God's law and especially to the price of violating God's law. But no. One entry on euthanasia, another on vegetative state (badly misinformed about Terri), yet another long essay arguing the case for "right to die" that focuses, again, on Terri.

Major Puke alert. This is straight out of the Hemlock Society handbook.
