YES...and pulling the troops, and impeaching Bush, would succeed in one thing for sure...

Giving our terrorist enemies MUCH more of an opportunity to stike us again...knowing that all that will happen is the impeaching of a POTUS/CIC for trying to protect the country...

And, no military response...just like during Clinton's years...and I am sure that President Hillary will do the same.

I can remember just a few years ago that anybody who mentioned the Aztlan angle that was brewing was called a tin foil hat wearing racist bigot.

They were either uninformed or just pushing propaganda.

That there are extremists within the hispanic community who would like to turn the southwest back to Mexico is undeniable. That these extremists represent even a significant minority of immigrants living in this country is a legitimate question. It can be assumed that most illegals are here, not to take over, but because Mexico is a hellhole deserving of being left behind. I think you're over-reacting to magnified images in the media.

Well .. I think there might be a few "Palis" here in America - since there are hundreds of Muslim communities all over the place.

If these 2 groups hook up - America is going to be in real trouble and NO LEGISLATION will cause any change. You cannot have change unless you ENFORCE THE LEGISLATION.

We don't need new laws - we just need to enforce the ones we have. Build the fence - round them up and take them back to their own country by deporting them officially - which will not allow them to return to America.

Any goofball demonstration can attract a mob. How many hispanic students viewed these demonstrations as a good excuse to skip class for the day? I don't think the turnout, whatever the number, proves a thing.

ANY REPUBLICAN WHO STAYS HOME ON ELECTION DAY AND DOES NOT VOTE HAS ROCKS FOR BRAINS.

Then, when we retain the House and Senate .. we will start our campaign of getting these people to pay attention to Americans - and not the democrats in Washington.

We can still have all of California and retain the entire country if we have the will to hold it...and to put into office representatives who will reflect that will. LA high schools are 70% latino. The mayor of LA is a member of Meccha. He spoke at the illegal rally! California has sent Babs Boxer and DiFi to the Senate for a decade.

So at least from California you're going to have supporters of this, not opponents, for the foreseeable future.

Now you want to see something AMAZING! Go to Sen. Brownbacks home page. He has blatent latino pandering. Supposedly this is one of the most Conservative Senators in the chamber. In fact the left has been hyperventalating over his supposed "fundamentalist" Christian roots. Meanwhile, he vote for the Amnesty Apocalypse, one of four R's to cross over.

In short it's hard to know who your friends are. And at least in the Senate they are outnumbered by RINOs and DEMS who litterally want to give the country away.

We're f***ed !

I'm sorry...but when 500,000 protest in one city alone...and these signs are abundantly amongst them...and then within days as 20,000 and 50,000 and similar amounts protest in other cities followed by tens of thousands of high school students walking out all across the country...and then when you couple it with what those elements who are organizing and planning these demonstrations are spouting, coupled with somewhere between 12 and 20 million illegals already here...it is certainly not an over-reaction to be very concerned and call this what it is. Invasion, sedition, etc. and recognize it for the danger that it is.

Those are just my opinions and thoughts on it.

The City of LA is not the whole of Southern California. You have Orange County, San Diego, and other places as well. There are plenty of Americans (of all heritages) who will fight this...whether the pols will or not at this point. They just need to be energized and I believe that is finally happening on this issue now.

Well here's how I look at it. If the Senate passes an Amnesty we have been betrayed. The Senate is controlled by the Republicans. CONTROLLED. This should not be a "vote your conscience" issue. Frist (that useless tool) should bring every tool of party discipline (RNC funds, etc) to bear to get the HOUSE BILL passed.

If they don't do this then WHY DO I CARE? Forget Fulluja. Forget Iraq. I could care less if "Bush gets the blame for losing Iraq".

The Republicans get the blame for losing California if this Specter / McCain bill passes. Look who the R leaders are!! Specter is a big time RINO and is championing turning the country into Azatlan! McCain can't see past his next run for President and is agreeing. These are two of the most powerfuls "Rs" in the party.

WHEN exactly should we say: "We've had enough!" And forget the R's? Giant spending increases? New public entitlemnets? Giant new and unneeded departments added (with all the downstream costs for FedGov pensions and benefits that entails?) like TSA?

And now, the capper! 25 illegals made citizens in a single stroke! Kewl!

Politics isn't sports! You can't pick a team at age 12 and stick with them for life. As Ronald Reagan famously said about the Democrats "I didn't leave them, they left me". Well the Republicans, by supporting these Marxist invaders, are leaving me.

I'd rather have Hillary running the show when the balloon goes up.

...and at that point, for every one they do, there will be a hundred of them going down in the return fire.

And that will be when they send in the U.N. *peacekeepers.*

Now you know why they are so hell bent on disarming us.

Precisely. And why the US military is being stripped of its tanks and other tracked vehicles.

To assume that these Anglo-phobes and America-haters represent even a significant minority of Hispanic immigrants here is akin to believing that every American listens intently to Air America or posts to Democratic Underground.

If you're right, then the problem is much worse than we could have possibly imagined. If these are 1%ers, there are a half million 1%ers in LA.

I've been ready for it since Jarbidge, Jeff. Remember the Finnish Winter War motto.

The Finns, faced the inevitable Russian Armageddon with a grim optimism that must be alien to anyone who has not themselves lived through a desperate land war for their motherland. Of the upcoming casualties, they asked, "There are so many of them, and our country so small. Where will we find room to bury them all?" Anticipating the harsh winter, they spent much of the autumn of 1939 destroying bridges, roads, houses and barns that had taken a generation to build so the Russians would have no shelter during their march. Indeed, while much is made of Russia's love for the scorched earth policy, it appears the scrappy Finns had a few things to teach them.
Happily for us, our country is large. Again, my FRiend, bring your shovel.

The Muslim religion is on the rise in Mexico. Many Mexicans have converted to Muslim. Not only do we have to worry about a middle eastern muslim terrorist waltzing across this border, we also have to worry if the Mexicans waltzing across are Muslim converts and how converted are they- are they terrorists?

The Catholic church does support illegal immigration, but not all illegals are Catholic.

[ How many Marines did it take to kill a couple of hundred enemy fighters in Fallujah? How many enemy fighters are we going to face in LA? ]

I hear ya.. but this is not a book, a thiller.. Reality, no Ockhams Razor demands that it will get far far worse before the powers that be (the people) get busy.. Even then the outcome looks bleak.. The American people have been brain washed for far too long(colleges, public schools, MsM, Msp) to even know the Republic has fallen.. Heroic rescue of it by a cadre, some cadre of "rescuers" is a long shot..

Cynical?.. maybe, but realistic none the less.. I don't think the President(and minions) are ignorant at all.. This "thing" has been planned.. and beautifully executed.. The globalists are on the move.. and America seems to be in the kill zone.. out flanked and surrounded.. with the Trojan Horse being appreciated as a work of Art.. make me wonder about the selection and appointments of the two latest Supremes.. nothing happens by accident in Washington D.C.. They could be the coup D'grace.. in the "PLAN"... The democrats threatened to raise hell BUT did NOTHING..

I think I was in fact the _very first_ American who (a few years ago) called for the United States to declare war on, and then annex, Mexico. We will hear more about this in the future.

Unless we gringos (OK, let's say it plainly: Euro-white Americans) are willing to do with the Hispanic invaders what we did to the Indians in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, we are going to eventually be overwhelmed and vanquished. Your descendants will be speaking Español as their _first_ language.

Unless we have the stomach to literally wage a shooting war against the (mostly Mexican and mostly Hispanic) invaders _already in_ our country, then "our country" may be lost to us - as it looks like California may already be lost to THEM.

The illegal invaders are - as a few other Freepers have presciently seen - the American equivalent of the Palestinians vs. Israel. They will not be satisfied until they have wrested control of the continent (or at least the southwest portion of North America from our control and "returned it" to (what they believe to be) it's "rightful ownership": THEIRS.

And it seems those who lead this country - with very few exceptions - are willing to almost-literally invite the invaders in with open arms.

As Jeff Head said, traitors and quislings, one and all.

I believe all we need to do is enforce current law. That would deprive the illegals of homes, jobs, and transportation. They would simply deport themselves.

Of course, Congress is just looking to make new laws and those will be ignored just the same.

We can close the border fairly easily using any number of options.

We must treat this as an invasion, not an immigration problem. If enforcing current laws doesn't work then drastic measures can be employed, but I believe current law would work just fine.

This basically means since our governments refuse to enforce current law and refuses to protect this nation, we are in a pickle that may lead to civil unrest.
