That's not a welcoming message, nor is it particularly encouraging of free speech within our community or the democratic party.

SOOOOOOOOOO, saying something against McKinney is NOT encouraging free speech.....

Ok, whatever you say.....

Yuck!

Just had Fox with Brian Wilson on while we were cleaning up after dinner. He announced that 'Not so [s]Kinney McKinney' has been a no show on the House floor for most of the week, missing 19 votes. How's that going to play once her opposition gets hold of it? And I wonder how the KOs Kidddies would spin it?

Don't bother. I did and hardly ever use it. And PJ claims we won't need one for his podcast.

Another thing about ITunes for the IPod, the music format can't be conveniently burned to a listen-able CD. If you do a direct burn, the CD won't play in your car or home stereo. You have to get conversion software that converts the ITune file format to a WAV or MP3 format first. Then THAT file can be burned.

Georgia has an open primary. Republicans can vote in the Democratic primary, and vice versa (but it's one or the other, not both). McKinney's 4th district is predominantly African-American, and Republicans stand a snowball's chance in Hell of winning. In 2002, Republicans in Georgia's 4th District were so sick of McKinney's shenanigans that they crossed over and voted for her opponent, Denise Majette, in the Democratic primary. Majette won, and went on to win the seat. But in 2004, Majette decided that she wanted to run for Senate, and that left the 4th District seat open for McKinney again.

I'm in Georgia's 11th District (Rep. Phil Gingrey-R), so I can't vote against her. But Neal Boortz has an interesting take on the whole situation. He used to be firmly in the camp that wanted to send McKinney's worthless butt packing. But after returning from a recent trip to D.C., he has changed his mind. The reason? He said that when he was in D.C., he discovered that Democrats there were secretly HAPPY that McKinney had been forced into a runoff, and that they hoped she would LOSE. This included members of the Congressional Black Caucus. Why? Because 1) she's an embarrassment, 2) she would be replaced by another Democrat 3) who is also black, 4) and would vote solidly with their bloc, 5) and would actually be EFFECTIVE (Hank Johnson). Boortz also found out that Republicans wanted her to REMAIN in office so they could continue to point to her as "the face of the Democratic Party".

Hey, that works for me.

Funny that she also missed the debate before the primary. What is she doing all day?

I would never support a candidate who refused to debate. Funny the KOmmie Kids don't mention that might have been a factor.

'Not so [s]Kinney McKinney' is also failing to respond to requests for interviews from local news services in Atlanta:

http://www.11alive.com/help/search/search_article.aspx?storyid=82220

She is keeping a very low profile. She also refused to debate her opponents, pre-primary. This is one arrogant broad.

Cynthia McKinney, celebrating her primary "victory" a little too early

"Funny the KOmmie Kids don't mention that might have been a factor."

I'm sure it was a factor, along with her posturing and attitude. But I doubt the KOs Kiddies would mention anything about that. They're all sweetness and light when it comes to someone they think is on their side. There's no room for evaluation. That takes effort and may also show their emotional attachments are invalid. We can't have that now, can we?

Is there a Bukowski's in her district? Did she run into the Pittster?

She didn't show up at ANY of the pre-primary debates. She didn't even bother to RESPOND, one way or the other, to the invitations. It was funny watching those debates on the local channels and seeing an empty podium where McKinney was supposed to be standing.

Can you imagine the ARROGANCE? She couldn't even be bothered to respond one way or the other to the invitations, not even to say that she had a schedule conflict...IF she had a schedule conflict, which is doubtful.

The reports I heard indicated she didn't want to be questioned on her run-in with the Capitol Hill Police. That may be, but it also shows an arrogant disregard for her constituency not to mention her opponents.

And now, apparently, she isn't even responding to news media attention. Methinks there's something in play here more than a bruised ego. Does she have stability problems, perhaps?

The news report claims there's only 3 weeks before the run-off election. If she wants to keep her seat (no...don't go there) she'd better get her face (let's not go their either) before the cameras and her constituents soon.

I think her opponent smells blood. Boy, am I divided. One side of me wants to see her lose (or is it loose) so bad, but the other side wants her to remain as a poster child for Democratic lunacy. Which way to go...which way to go...BWAAAAAAAHHHAAAAAA!!!!

Yes, her sense of absolute entitlement (fueled by dopes like the KOmmie KOoks) has unbalanced whatever brain she started out with.

I just wonder if it doesn't go farther than that. She certainly has emotional problems based on her low threshhold to anger. There may be more at play than we are aware of.

But would her sense of entitlement simply cause her to withdraw from social contact because of the injury to it from this forced run-off? Good questions.

Her sense of entitlement is also fueled by her daddy, Billy McKinney, who was a fixture in Georgia politics for many years:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cynthia_McKinney

"Her political career began in 1986 when her father, Billy McKinney, a representative in the Georgia House of Representatives, submitted his daughter's name as a write-in candidate for the Georgia state house. She received about 40 percent of the popular vote despite the fact that she lived in Jamaica at the time with then-husband Coy Grandison (with whom she had a son, Coy McKinney, now age 16). In 1988, McKinney ran for the same seat and won, making the McKinneys the first father and daughter to simultaneously serve in the Georgia state house."
