Looking at Hajj's photos, I was wondering if some of his smoke might have been created with the picture tube tool in Paint Shop Pro. I put together this JPG with no knowledge of how to make picture tubes (I guessed). I think it is fairly convincing. If you had a large sampling of different smoke, I think you could add additional smoke where you wanted. What do you think?

The tube tool makes an opaque image, though, doesn't it? And the smoke was kind of etched over buildings, right?

Already have that covered. You can put a layer over top and manipulate the transparency of that layer or anything else about that layer without affecting the main column of smoke.

can you add a few GHG and smoke stacks and arms to this one, too? The Slimes say they have more room for a good Cindy picture because another major advertiser just pulled out....

I know the smoke in the main picture is cloned. That was easy to recognize. But I did this experiment to see how one could make smoke with the picture tube tool. Pretty easily and fairly convincingly if you have enough samples.

Paintshop comes in handy, I often run an image through it, and Photoshop. Paintshop makes combining parts of several images really simple, but I guess hizbollah doesn't need to know this!
