DUmmie FUnnies 09-07-06 (Leftist Blogosphere In Uproar Over "The Path To 9/11")
DUmmie FUnnies ^ | September 7, 2006 | KOmmies and PJ-Comix

The uproar in the Leftist Blogosphere to the upcoming ABC TV movie, The Path To 9/11, has reached a fevered pitch. Remember, these are the same folks who buy into what they term "MIHOP" (Bush Made It Happen On Purpose). So it is expected that anybody so delusional would be sent into a rage when a movie exposes what actually led to 9/11. Namely the Clinton Administration's insistence on the Jamie Gorelick infamous Wall of Separation keeping investigatory agencies such as the FBI and CIA from sharing informaration about the terrorists with each other. In addition, this movie highlights the fact that the Clinton administration could have killed or captured Osama Bin Laden but refused to go through with it. And what is the source for that latter bit of information? Why Bill Clinton himself who admitted this in a post-presidential speech. Another phony objection the Loony Left has to this movie is that portions of it are dramatized. What a shock! A movie that dramatizes events! Guess what? ALL movies that purport to show factual events are dramatized for the reasons of time constraints (such as using composite characters) or to keep the story flowing. I recently read the book Cinderella Man and noticed that there were numerous dramatizations in the movie (which I've seen on cable at least 20 times). For example, they show boxer Jim Braddock as having been married to his wife, Mae, back when he was successful in the 1920s. In actual fact they didn't get married until Braddock was in tough times but the filmakers wanted to contrast the differences in their life styles before and after the stock market crash. However, the dramatization of events did not change the essential truth of that movie whose theme was the comeback of a boxer from hard times. So now the leftists are nitpicking on this and other silly things in order to get this ABC TV movie pulled from the air. There are many such outraged discussions in the Leftist Blogosphere but in this edition of the DUmmie FUnnies, we shall focus on this Daily Kos KOmmie THREAD titled, "ABC now to run disclaimers - Keep up the pressure!" So let us now watch the KOmmies emit a primal scream over this movie in Bolshevik Red while the commentary of your humble correspondent, already reserving a spot on his couch for Sunday and Monday nights, is in the [brackets]:

ABC now to run disclaimers - Keep up the pressure!

[WARNING: The Truth of this movie will make Leftists go berserk.]

We need to keep up the pressure. The ABC Blog has been put back up (although they are publishing only a fraction of the comments). Berger, Albright and others are starting to jump in. Now this response (recently released talking points I'm sure)I just received from an ABC affiliate stating they will be running disclaimers; shows that the pressure is working! Let's keep it up and see if we can't STOP this propaganda from airing. I will kill this diary if this information has been previously posted.

[WARNING: Frantic leftist nutcases will be futilely trying to remove this movie from the air.]

Throughout the movie, there will be a disclaimer stating that, among other things, the movie is not a documentary and that it does contain fictionalized scenes.

[Just like EVERY movie based on truth does. Cinderella Man? It had fictionalized scenes for DRAMATIC purposes and to keep the movie from running 22 hours long.]

Dramatization, Schramatization my ass. You just don't do that about this very partisan and divisive topic. I told ABC that this was tantamount to giving a free campaign commercial to Bush and Republicans, and that that was not fair and we should have equal time to present our side.

[Tell that to MSNBC which yesterday ran free campaign commercials all day for the Democrats telling viewers how they were going to win in November because of how horrible the Republicans are.]

Conyers et al just wrote a letter

[The same Conyers who is just aching to start impeachment hearings?]

Schmucks. This is turning into a disaster for them. Remember the 60 Minutes "scandal" (which was based on facts which have never refuted, and which occurred only because one source had some possibly forged papers)- we need people to be fired because of this, and we need a sea change in attitude at ABC.

[LOL! "Possibly" forged papers?]

Don't feel bad; they tried to pull a fast one and we are not going to let them get away with it. I hope President Clinton gets his attorneys involved.

[Ironically, that was the Clinton administration's fault in handling terrorism. They wanted to get the attorneys involved. Something this movie will portray despite your pathetic screeching.]

Doing a fictional account of the Kennedy assassination 30 yrs after the fact is one thing. Doing a fictional account of something that happened FIVE YEARS ago, when all the main players are still alive and screaming, is quite another.

[How about the Michael Moore "documentary" portrayal showing a bunch of happy kids pleased to be living under the Saddam Hussein regime where they could merrily fly their kites?]

Everything the administration has ever said about September 11 has been fiction.

[Including the fact that it was masterminded by Osama Bin Laden?]

It disingenuously and purposfully skirts FCC electioneering laws by providing free ad time to a single party, within 60 days of a scheduled election, without the opportunity for a rebuttal containing actual facts of the matter.

[You mean like the way the Michael Moore "documentary" ran shortly before the 2004 election on the tube?]

He ought to let ABC know that the Democratic Congress will take a VERY close look at their license, come renewal time.

[A threat made out in the open.]

The movie "Apollo 13" used time compression, for example, in compressing something like a dozen rocket motor burns done for course correction into one. The movie also created a composite character, the mission director whose best line was, "Failure is not an option." I believe three or so real people were rolled into that one composite character. But neither of those things done in the movie leaves the viewer with important misconceptions even about NASA's competence. It seems "The Path to 9/11" could leave many viewers with misconceptions important enough to affect how they VOTE, with an election less than two months away.

[Wrong! The Path to 9/11 leaves viewers with the correct impression that the Jamie Gorelick Wall of Separation kept agencies from sharing vital information about the terrorists and that the Clinton Administration, as admitted by Clinton himself, prevented the capture or deat of Osama Bin Ladin.]

This disclaimer is horseshit the only good thing is that it shows ABC is beginning to crack, just a bit. We need to keep hammering them. And the people involved -- Clinton, Albright, Berger, etc, who are slandered on the screen -- need to sue their f*cking asses off.

[Can we sue Sandy Bergler for stuffing National Archives papers into his socks?]

...as AmericaBlog points out, ABC received a letter from four future committee heads with subpoena power. The implicit threat is probably not lost on the ABC executives.

[This is what is known as BLACKMAIL.]

although I've written about 4 emails to various people, I haven't yet written my local ABC affiliate, but I am now. For those of you that haven't yet written your local channel - time to do so! It's WEDNESDAY people!

[It's now THURSDAY my desperate little KOmmie.]

What about the Actors. Have the actors for the film been contacted for their response? How do they feel knowing now that they have been used to further Republican propaganda? Would they be willing to appear in a commercial for the Republican National Committee? If not, then why did they agree to appear in this film? If they were tricked into it, why are they not now speaking out?

[Maybe you should threaten to haul the actors before a Congressional committee IF the Democrats win in November.]

The woman who was Ray Ramano's TV wife is in the movie....name escapes me, but she does the Albertson's commercials.... She's a proud, card-carrying, single issue (abortion) Republican. She's hard core. She knew what she was getting into. I think Harvey Keitel is also Republican. and I can't remember who else is in the movie.

[I can just picture these actors being questioned before a Democrat Congressional committee: "Are you now or have you ever been a member of the Republican Party?]

Change the names of the characters--President Will Plimpton, Secretary Adelaide Fullbright, etc.

[Sandy Burglar for Sandy Berger would be the perfect name change.]

Got an email from the Democratic PArty a couple of hours ago. They are petitioning Disney/ABC.

[Yes, they are now joining the Army of Crybabies.]

Clinton Admin's Ox is Gored

DUmmies of 9/11 Drama

The Dumb Dems are rapidly devolving into a bunch of whiners and have no credibility to stomp their feet on this emovief after having Michael Moore as their poodle dog for so long.

Given everything from faked TANG documents claming Bush was AWOL to the ridiculous statements Bush entered Iraq to get to the oil fields, the left looks incredibly thin skinned over a MOVIE. Get grip Moonbat deluded fantasy seekers!

* Why Clarke doesnft want you to see gThe Path to 9/11

The reason you are hearing from Richard Clarke through mostly Podestafs gThink Progressh website, is that Clarke has much to answer for for 9/11, and much that may become clearer by itfs airing.

Former Bin Laden unit commander Michael Scheuer who had these thoughts on Clarke:

"Scheuer thinks Clarke is a risk-averse poseur who didnft do enough to fight bin Laden prior to September 11, 2001. At his breakfast with reporters, Scheuer said that on 10 separate occasions his unit, codename gAlec,h provided key policymakers with information that couldfve lead to the killing or capture of Osama bin Laden. gIn each of those 10 instances,h Scheuer said, gthe senior policymaker in charge, whether it was Sandy Berger, Richard Clarke, or George Tenet,h resisted taking action, afraid it would result in collateral damage or a backlash on the Arab street.

Which is precisely what the 9/11 Commission Report tells us.

The Berger/Clarke/Albright sideshow was afraid to pull the trigger. Ops who were there - and yes they were on the ground in Afghanistan in spite of Clarkefs insistence they were not - and got their hands tied by ghand-wringingh by the Clinton Administration and especially the brilliant whining duo of Albright and Berger, who didnft make a move without getting gThe Bossh to nod.

Ifm going to have a lot more to say on this in th coming days, and like I said before there are those who were there and not drinking the Clinton Kool-Aid. They too will be telling their story as well.

The fact that there is such a push back from former Clintonistas is proof in itself that this is a film to watch and take note of. Letfs not forget the real reason for all the venom. Democrats want power again, and given what we saw them do - or rather not do when it counted during the Clinton eight-year reign, we simply canft afford it.

After this week, most of the Nation will know this as well, and everyone will HATE the Leftwing Kookie Moonbats who whine and snarl!

;-)

I don't have a link, but Hannity often plays an excerpt from a Clinton speech, talking about how the Sudan offered to hand bin Laden over to the U.S., but he didn't think we had any legal right to take him, so he begged the Saudis to take bin Laden, but they wouldn't...yadayadayada

"DUmmies are planning to google-bomb the movie..."

That's about as much as they're capable of doing, seems like - they don't even have to leave the basement.

I started another THREAD called "Bargain Hut" several days ago where Freepers can list retail bargains they find. Right now there is little response which is why I declined to list the latest bargain I found yesterday. All I can say is that I ate well last night for very little. Start posting some bargains there and I will do the same again. Don't forget to list geographical locations where the bargains are available.

You know, my mother used to do this, clipping the cents-off coupons from the Wednesday newspapers and the Sunday supplements--but no such thing as "double coupon offers" in the Sandhills when I was growing up--but it always seemed to me what she "saved" in money she spent a great deal more in time.

Yeah, sure, it was nice to save (then) $4.57 off total purchases of circa $44.89, but to get that "savings" cost her a oouple, maybe three, hours at a time.

When I first went away to college, I tried the stunt myself, but it was never worth it. One might as well purchase what he wishes to purchase, or needs to purchase, and to Hades with whether or not one has the "cent-off" coupons.

....and the rest of that normal bunch?

And just WHAT, pray tell, was NORMAL about any of them?

I would only consider the word "normal" about any of the Clintoon Clan if the word "abby" preceded "normal"....

Liberal hypocrisy know no bounds! If Republicans did these things and said things things in regards to the dozens of books and "documentaries" that say far worse things about Bush than this movie could possibly say about Clinton, the frenzy of the Left would be unimaginable. They would be screaming bloody murder about censorship, fascism, the right-wing destruction of civil liberties. And yet, because they're good liberals, they get a free pass to resort to any tactics they like to get one perfectly legitimate movie criticizing Clinton yanked from the air.
Hypocrits! Hyprocrits! Hypocrits!

When I had the coupons that could be doubled in L.A., I regularly bought supermarket stuff for only about 20% or less than retail. Sometimes I would buy about 10 bucks worth of stuff for only about a buck. And this was stuff that I used.

Another store TRIPLED coupons about twice a year. No problem buying like $400 worth of groceries for like 50 bucks that way. It took some effort to sort the coupons scientically but well worth the time spent.

It took some effort to sort the coupons scientifically but well worth the time spent.

I hear they have man-purses European carryalls handy packs that thing that some guys wear (in the US, not Europe -- the soccer hooligans would take issue) with compartments to file coupons.

Oh my, the DUmmies are confused yet again (must be all the meds).

Maybe it's time to pull out the tried and true DUmmie Funnies "what drugs do you need to function in society" thread :)

DUmmie FUnnies 06-27-05 ("How many of us here take antidepressants?")

Effexor here. first i was on paxil but it made me too zombie-like. have been on effexor for about 4.5 years. and we are not weak. i just didn't want to feel that way anymore and decided to do something about it.

Effexor here, too. Paxil made me hear voices in my head (not the usual ones ) and made me feel very paranoid and think that I was being stalked, but Effexor XR has worked like a charm for me for the last year. No side effects except a little stomach queasiness for the first couple of weeks.

You should hear what the voices in my head are calling you

Manic here on Trazadone because everything else makes me to HYPER!!

I too have a family history of depression. I was diagnosed with a anxiety disorder that bordered on depression (I used to get panic attacks). I've been taking a very low dose of cilexa (sp?) for the past couple of years.

prozac here, with no apologies. i spent years working out, meditating, eating perfectly, counseling, etc. etc. etc. always on the verge of suicide. i say praise prozac.

It goes on and on. Poor, poor, pitiful DUmmies...
