Unscruplously Sexy and Liberating, November 19, 2005 Reviewer: K. Blunt "kblunt1" (LA, CA United States) - See all my reviews
What an amazing journey Larry Kramer takes us on with this book. He takes us back to a time long gone but never forgotten. One of the most imporant books in gay literature.

Unbridled Genius. One of the best , December 18, 2004 Reviewer: Jesse Liberty "Programmer, Author" (MA USA) - See all my reviews
It is as if James Joyce were alive and queer in 1973 New York. Kramer is an author, dramatist and activist who helped found Act-Up. In this harsh, funny, terrifying, graphic, pornographic, brilliant, compelling book, he both honors and skewers the "gay scene" of the early '70s.
This book is simply required (though at times difficult) reading.

ping to reality
Whatever the reality of the word is, she shouldn't have said it.
We could have been talking about the candidates and what they said, or what's going on with Jim Webb's moronic bill to deny funding for Iran or thousands of other subjects.
Instead, we're talking about Ann. She did it for shock value And she knew exactly what she was doing.
The fact that Amazon sells a book by that title does not prove that it is not offensive.
Amazon.com Michael Thomas Ford garnered lots of laughs in 1998 with Alec Baldwin Doesn't Love Me and Other Trials from My Queer Life. The follow-up collection of pieces from his syndicated column, That's Mr. Faggot to You, continues Ford's exploration of contemporary gay life. In the title essay, reports of a teenager who successfully sued his school district for failing to prevent physical and mental abuse by his classmates prompts Ford to recall his own traumatic high school experiences and leads him to recognize that, years later, "he is happier, more successful, and a great deal more attractive" than his classmates. In other essays, he discusses the you-and-me-against-the-world relationship he has with his black Labrador, proposes a new line of Christian-friendly action figures (including a Jonah and the Whale Play Set, "appropriate for bath-time use or fun in the pool"), and even manages, despite his uncertainties, to offer an adolescent nephew dating advice (concluding that "guy problems were guy problems, regardless of who the person creating the dilemma was or how many holes she or he had"). That's Mr. Faggot to You is a humorous slice of contemporary gay life that's bound at least to elicit a smile from any reader.
I think you have to be one to use the 'F' word ... Just like the bro's that use the 'N' word ...
It is a word that many artists uses....music, print, etc.....SATIRE....
gunsel, punk, joker, fag, faggot, queer, gay
I'd already looked that up. There are many more.
The point in just about all is artistic license with an intent to shock.
Knowing Coulter's shtick, that fits her, too. She is satirist, commentator, comedienne, etc.
But now we know the top three are spineless wimps unworthy of the nomination they seek, so that's something about them to talk about.
It's better to know for sure now then later.
She is a shock jock. Her entire schtick is saying things you can't believe she just said.
Frankly, if she didn't appeal to guys who like emaciated women, she'd be nothing more than an obscure harpy.
So, if I am offended then it is your fault. Frankly I am offended by such terms as Anglo and White and fundamentalist and bible thumper and thousands of other words. Should we just ban every word that someone else might be offended by?
If John Edwards looks like a Nancy-boy are we precluded from making that comment? If John Kerry throws a football like a limp wristed girly man, is our liberty to make such a comment overcome by Kerry's right not to be offended?
Soon we will have laws on our books like they do in Canada where it is illegal to offend homosexuals or to publicly condemn their behavior.
Canada is a nation of limp-wristed girly men for allowing such laws to be enacted.
America is fast becoming a nation of wimps and creampuffs and Caspar Milquetoasts and namby-pamby panty-waist jellyfish. Americans need to learn how to listen to offensive remarks and NOT cry to our elected leaders to protect us from being offended.
I've listened to her, and she is very, very sharp with a quick wit and an even quicker comeback.
I sat through a George Carlin performance in Vegas once, and it was clear to me that I was in the presence of a brilliant man who made his living from saying shocking, obscene things.
I think Ann just outed Edwards!!! am I the only one that thinks that Ann may be onto something?
definition of faggot, a small bundle of firewood.
I agree!!!!
