“Once again this is not about what I believe or my opinions on the matter which I have not stated. Turret Gunner A20 However, we read in post #217 the following opinion offered to Mormonism Apologist, nowandlater: Heresy police = bigots
Your opinion is quite obvious....”
>>>> Obviously about what, other than the definition of one class of arrogant busybodies?
“... and accepts no further instruction despite your claim to seek such if it can meet your qualifiers.
>>>> How did you arrive at that all-emcompassing conclusion. I have an opinion on one single thing; are you saying that that fact precludes me from from ever learning anything to the contrary? Assumptions like that are a bit overboard, don’t you think?
“As I noted to you, God IS biased and has state so in no ambiguous terms. Have a nice week and stay safe.”
And I didn’t agree — as I said, truth by its very definition is biased.
Now all we have to do is to arrive at THE truth. And so far I haven’t seen evidence of that.
Sorry. I didn't mean to accuse you of closing your mind. I meant that you should try to keep an open mind to different possibilities. Just as I am sure that you did not accuse me of not thinking when you told me to "Think on it?"
I know there are some uncivil folks on these threads, but I have been trying to get an answer to a question about the nature of god as described in Morman texts. I don't think I have accused you of anything.
To repeat my question:
"I know that God is not a partial God, neither a changeable being; but he is unchangeable from all eternity to all eternity" (Moroni 8:18).
"For do we not read that God is the same yesterday, today and forever, and in him there is no variableness, neither shadow of changing? And now, if ye have imagined up unto yourselves a god who doth vary, and in whom there is shadow of changing, then ye have imagined up unto yourselves a god who is not a God of miracles" (Mormon 9:9-10).
"Here, then, is eternal life--to know the only wise and true God. And you have got to learn how to be Gods yourselves--to be kings and priests to God, the same as all Gods have done--by going from a small degree to another, from grace to grace, from exaltation to exaltation, until you are able to sit in glory as do those who sit enthroned in everlasting power." - King Follett Discourse
Moroni and Mormon describe God as immutable and unchanging. TheKFD shows something else. How can you believe that God is at the same time immutable and changing, that from all eternity he was as he now is, but he somehow evolved from a mere mortal?
How is this possible?
No accusation. Just a question.
You can say what you want, that’s freedom, but don’t be crass, insulting, or vulgar, there are those here who will go elsewhere if it becomes part of FR.
Holy cow?!!! Exactly which LDS church did you go to?

And I’ll ask you seven, what did the Savior save you FROM?
From myself. How about you? Where did you get such a notion that Christ is not our personal Savior in our teachings?
Ten posts since 1/03/07! Glad to hear how FR USED to be.
Christ saved you from yourself? So you are saved from what, exactly?
Amen dat ...
Hi, Saundra! What are the "anti-antis" up to today? And how about the pro-Christians?...we wouldn't want to be left out. ;)
Christ is my Savior, my Redeemer, my friend, my advocate to the Father. In Him I can find peace, forgiveness, freedom, and eternal life.
All the best!
Don’t you believe that you will only return to your Father after you obey the commandments and take part in certain ordinances and covenants.
Come on seven, be truthful.
He is my God, and my King. By obeying the commandments, I obey Christ, for He has asked me to do it. He has asked you to do it too. He has also asked me to be baptized, also by way of commandment. Keeping the laws of God and following His path is not a negative thing Color. I’m truly sorry you feel that it is.
I hope you can find it in your heart to allow me and others to worship Him as we see fit, though it may not be the way you choose to do it.
Cheers
re: 263
You will have to aska Mormon.
And, I still would like some answers to the several questions I have asked of the Mormon Bashers.
>> Please dont call me a liar and make a
>> mockery of my testimony of Christ.
I don’t think that colorcountry was calling you a liar. I don’t think that colorcountry was trying to deny or make a mockery of your testimony of the Savior. What I think that colorcountry was asking was a serious question about whether or not you believe you can only return to the Father if you participate in certain LDS ordinance. So why don’t you answer the question. And I’ll break it down more simply.
Do you believe its necessary to have baptism, confirmation, initiatory and endowment ordinances in order to gain exaltation? Yes or No?
What questions haven’t been answered by the Mormon bashers? Would you mind making a simple, numbered list that would be feasible to respond to in an organized, efficient manner?
And BTW I only selectively bash just certain Mormons, the bigots who won’t denounce the unquestionably bigoted phrases in the Book of Mormon.
Thank you degaston, that is exactly what I wanted to ask.
Of course you and I already know what his answer should be according to Mormon doctrine.

“Again, is there any reason to post such ugliness?”
>>>> Let’s put it this way — is there any reason why I should be civil to that pompous windbag wwhen he has thrown nothing but snotty insults at me from the very first time he posted to me? He/she/it started this crap, not me, and it’s just tit for tat.
“Please refrain, at least publicly. If you must there is FReepmail.”
>>>> Is it too much to ask that you tell the same to that nutcase and get him off my case? Or am I expected to take his/her/its horse dump lying down?
