No, although there are worse places one could move to. Turkey’s a pretty nice place. Good food, too.

I will simply be “leaving FR” in order to be able to devote more time to certain personal goals over the next two years. I may return after a couple of years; or if I succeed in reaching not only my first goal but the second as well it’s possible I might be back earlier.

Last year I got silly and predicted that we’d win in Iraq, France would go conservative, Chavez would lose an election, and the price of oil would be over $80 a barrel. With that lousy a track record I’m not making any predictions this year. It’s just too humiliating.

After a great deal of talk, oil finally drops to almost 80$ a barrel. Unfortunately, since supply and demand still are relevant the supply for oil cannot keep up with demand for oil. Assuming we do not have a catastrophic recession, oil is likely to double from $80 to almost $160 a barrel.

As a consequence of this the economy slips, slides and threatens to collapse into recession. Congress finally acts. Nuclear power is placed on the fast track and drilling is permitted under limited circumstances off Florida and California. Alaska is given the green light to begin drilling in Anwar. A major pipeline is organized and begun from the North Slope; this pipeline is not for oil but, rather, for natural gas which explodes in use and price.

That link to Hayden Panettiere pics — nice. Talk about planning ahead. There’s already a shot on there which is a bit prurient. Oops, not sure I’m using that right.

Regarding Lindsay Lohan’s pregnancy — I am *not* the father, so stop spreading those rumors.

I hope you’re dead wrong about the Yankees in the WS. Also, I think the Patriots will get tripped up in the conference championship and not play in the Super Bowl. That might be a break for Dallas, because I agree with you that they’re going. Didn’t know that Romo and Simpson were an item (had heard that she’s pregnant though).

I was thinkin', Spain. Also, the Balkans are going to go up in flames, specifically, the Moslems in Kosovo and Albania (and wherever else nearby) are going to come out shooting and blowing up stuff. It'll be fun to watch Europe squirm and have to commit troops to the combat zone.

Paul and Obama? No way. They’re diametrically opposed, Obama being an authoritarian socialist.

Well I was half joking....but they both seem just enough out of the ordinary to try it...

Asia... hmm... Pakistan and India? That’s not bad, not bad at all... there has been activity toward that end for a while now.

The price of crude will not fall below $80 a barrel, and if there is any major political, military, or paramilitary shock, crude may hit $125 a barrel.

Due to a continued devaluation of the US dollar, a continued flood of foreign cash will continue to finance gov’t deficits. If the interest rate rises as a result of gov’t deficits, a continued flood of foreign cash will continue to finance gov’t deficits.

I guess what I’m trying to say is, a continued flood of foreign cash will continue to finance US gov’t deficits.

The Dhimmicrats’ move to Alternative Minimum Tax relief will be the only income tax relief we’re going to see in 2007 and 2008.

Interesting Dec 27, 2007 prediction: "The date of December 27th 2007 will prove to be a very important one. I feel that an event of global proportions will occur on this date."

Benazir Bhutto was assassinated that day, the ultimate consequence of which is still very much uncertain.

Oh sure, but he added, “possibly in Europe.”

Heh... thanks for pointing it out, seriously, that’s a pretty precise prediction.
