Very nice. That doesn’t explain why Maddy Dunham told relatives visiting Hawaii from Kansas that her grandson had died.
Virginia Goeldner, the half sister of Stanley Armour Dunham, told a reporter when she was interviewed by a local paper, that Madelyn Dunham told her in 1982, when she and her husband visited the Dunhams in Hawaii, that THE BOY’S MOTHER DIED IN 1970 and that’s why they had been looking after the boy...who was now in college on the mainland.
Madelyn didn’t say her daughter died in 1970. She said THE BOY’S MOTHER DIED.
That article was removed a short time after it appeared and was replaced with another (leaving that interesting factoid out.)
