This morning the papers were overloaded with positive stories proclaiming that Barack Obama was back on his A-Game and raising money like there was no tomorrow. Unfortunately the MSM once again failed to look at the actual numbers that should be of concern for the Obama campaign.
It is true that the Obama campaign did raise $52 million in June, along with DNC fundraising that added another $22 million to their coffers. That's a total haul of $74 million for the Democrat party in the month of June. But...

You mean the dems are [gasp] lying?
This should be BIG news to the networks, who would LEAP to lead every hour with this kind of news if it was McCain, instead...
That’s why I can’t wait to see the spectacle of the Dem-enberg Convention unfold in all it’s Wagnerian glory. I believe it will have the opposite effect on the voting block that Obama needs most, i.e. a HUGE turnoff to blue-collar America....
He’s blowing through money faster than Hillary did!
We have a couple article on our site about where his money is coming from. But the real question should be: What the hell did he blow $35 million on in June? My guess is Cigs and Red Bulls.
Maybe they are blowing it on blow?
“Someone ought to take a really good look at where all the money, supposedly from small donors, is coming from....”
He’s a DEMOCRAT, so those questions are not to be asked...
China and the Middle East, no doubt.
Interesting. Thanks for investigating/posting. Belated WELCOME ABOARD!
Hey, as long as it is their money. Knock themselves out.
I only worry if he really does get elected it will then be our money he is wasting.
Something to be learned from the Triple Crown shoe-in this year. A heavy favorite 1-4 odds at post time, Big Brown failed to finish the race.
Yeah. Obama will be shown ascending to Valhalla with his entourage. He will give a speech attacking materialism and greed and capitalist exploitation ("schwarze Alberich") and will dispatch his Walkyries to save the world. And ultimately a torch will be thrown by a rebellious Brunhilde (femi-Nazi protestors?) that will set fire to the whole edifice and bring it all down.
It’s Shrinkage!
If this is true and according to the lamestream media who seem to view Barak as their Messiah, where is the money coming from? How can the average American possibly send even the so-called $67.00 (per household) to the campaign? In addition, donations under $200 aren't listed. So who is really giving the money?
Americans better wake up and bloggers need to get busy. Note that the DEMS were able to keep the elections commission out of business for the past 2 years, so their tracking of donations wasn't done at all.
Most of all, we are not talking about the voting base. The question is where is the money coming from ? For those interested, go OpenSecrets.org and type in any zip code and find the list of donors from that area.
One more item, the Democrats do not want this can of worms opened. Yesterday, Rep Pearce, R-NM, starting reading the list of corporate donors to democrats today from the floor of the house and they (the Dems) gaveled him down.
We have several articles at PDOP on Obama’s big time donors and the reality of his money game. He has also refused repeated requests from the 8 major watchdog groups asking both campaigns to provide further disclosure of bundler and small donor activities. Over 60% of his fundraising has come from less than 10% of his total donors.
One of the funny things, is that I can tell you how millions are being raised. Remember the last couple elections when reports would surface of illegal fundraising occuring through ‘pass the collection plate’ for Kerry or Gore in black churches. Can you imagine how much of this is being done this year. Black Liberation Theology is built upon a mixture of politics and religion. I guarantee that much of that small donor activity is coming from these churches. So much for seperation of church and state.
Of course they are, Obama is smoking all of them. $35 million in June tends to corner the market
