Found a cool, free program today that gives you Aero-style 3-D windows in XP, without the Vista hassle.
It seems to work pretty well so far, though not if you're extending your desktop across multiple monitors.

It is pretty cool. I have my desktop across two screens and it works just fine in one. I usually use the other for email and various pallets and docks anyway, so it remains unaffected. Neat app.

There’s a windows version, maybe over at sourceforge
the 3d cube is very nice
I uninstalled it until I build my next machine, this one’s old and not optimal for compiz
