(vanity) Cool, free 3-D Windows Desktop program (Madotate)

Found a cool, free program today that gives you Aero-style 3-D windows in XP, without the Vista hassle.

It seems to work pretty well so far, though not if you're extending your desktop across multiple monitors.

I use Windows Blinds. Is it similar to that?

It is pretty cool. I have my desktop across two screens and it works just fine in one. I usually use the other for email and various pallets and docks anyway, so it remains unaffected. Neat app.

Used it a while back, and didn’t like it. Is pretty bug free though.

Like this better:

Well sure — if you’re running Linux.

Yeah, but I defy you to actually download the program from that link.

;-) Wouldn’t have given a link had I not checked first.

There’s a windows version, maybe over at sourceforge

the 3d cube is very nice

I uninstalled it until I build my next machine, this one’s old and not optimal for compiz

PowerPro rocks. It has toolbars, programmable schedules, multi-desktops and more. Not 3D though.
