Gloria Steinem Supports Obama

Steinem is supporting Obama in the general race. “Women are more than smart enough to see that McCain’s policies are a disaster … He is anti every reproductive issue we’ve ever fought for.”

She believes women will vote for Obama even if Clinton doesn’t get the much-mooted consolation prize of the vice-president’s spot on the Democratic ticket – a job Steinem doesn’t think is good enough for her anyway. Why? “It’s not an independent position, to put it mildly. I would rather see her as the president of the Senate.”

For most of this decade, the conventional wisdom has had it that feminism in America is dead – or, at least, irrelevant. The New York Times talked to female students at Yale and found them to be mostly interested in becoming housewives. Sex and the City told us that even the ones who became career girls were more interested in men and Manolos than in their actual careers.

Another radical for Obama. Jane Fonda is next, I'm sure.

With any luck, Naomi Wolfe will be hired to make him look like an alpha male instead of a hen-pecked, light in the loafers wuss. She did wonders for Algore.

So this rocket scientist doesn't want Hillary Clinton to be vice president? She'd prefer her to be president of the Senate?

I'm not sure who is more moronic. The feminazi too stupid to understand the basics of her government, or the reporters/editors that present such idiots as experts. (General hint: The VP is the president of the Senate.)

“He is anti every reproductive issue we’ve ever fought for.”

I may be mistaken, but I believe she and her organization are fairly “anti-reproductive” in every issue they’ve every fought for.

Um, the vice-president IS the President of the Senate. I do know that Nancy Pelosi would prefer Ms. Clinton as Vice-President to President Pro-Tem of the Senate - follow the Presidential Succession Amendment for the reason.

What’s with the “um’? Is that a sarcastic “um”? Ok then.

But I think you mistake my post one that doesn’t know that, but rather that Gloria Steinham is ok with Hillary getting shot out rather crudely of the Presidential Primaries. I just thought this would be something she would go into frenzies for. Like the rest of the PUMA’S.

Just a little flabbergasted.

Maybe Obomba needs to hire Rolling Stone’s airbrush artist to enhance his resume.
