I think dragging the trash bags on stage is a great idea. Then pass them out, and instead of shiny new one-time-use novelty flags, let people see the actual patriots waving worn, discarded, barbecue-sauce-covered flags dumped by the lefties (and waving them just as hard as if they were new).

They were stuffed in bags and left by the garbage for DAYS after the Dem Convention... and we are to believe that they were not considered garbage by the Dems? Like they really were gonna come back and sift thru the rest of the garbage bags to find them, days later?

Obama and his campaign need to stop thinking that the American people are all so stupid that they would buy these far reaching explanations of his failures.

Obama is saying that Americans stole the flags from the democrats?

Sheesh, this racist sure is pathetic.

His terrorist buddy Bill Ayers wipes his feet on our American flag, and Obama maintains a close personal relationship with him. Why shouldn't I believe that democrats have no love for our Nation's flag?

Obama is such a worthless, deceptive little POS.

Stories like this further solidify the fact that Obama is a pathological liar.

What is the carbon footprint of all those wasted flags?

Throwing them in a landfill would sequester the carbon contained therein. Burning them would release that carbon into the atmosphere.

Yes it's fun to poke fun at the Democrats' talking points, but I at least prefer to be technically correct. If atmospheric CO2 were a problem, burial of flags would be ecologically superior to burning. Even if it were desirable not to burn the flags, though, recycling or physical destruction to dust via machinery reserved for that purpose would be far more proper than disposing of them with other refuse.

I get these flags all the time and I always bring them home and put them up somewhere, whether on my patio or just in my library propped up.. I would never think of throwing even a cheap flag in the trash.

I have a small hand flag I bought on from a local grocer on 9/11. It had a broken stick, but I paid full price. I doubt the store would have particularly expected to sell it, and it may well have been thrown out the next time they checked inventory, but I had no qualm about paying full price and removing the broken stick. A pretty trivial sacrifice to have to make, really.

Wasn’t the Democratic Party supposed to be be going “Green”? Sounds as if they were not doing what they preach. I wonder what kind of effect all of that stuff would have done to the environment? -smile-
