I've been wondering if Obama *understands* what Kissinger said. It's like, he put it through his filter, so couldn't grasp the nuance of direct talks versus indirect contact. Words of others mean what he wants them to mean.

"I've been wondering if Obama *understands* what Kissinger said. It's like, he put it through his filter, so couldn't grasp the nuance of direct talks versus indirect contact. Words of others mean what he wants them to mean." No Barry knew he had made a severe gaffe with the "no preconditions" comment and has known for awhile.
Its one of the major no-nos in Diplomatic relations.
Its like playing poker with you cards face out.

Right, but he had to know that his attempt to spin out of it using Kissinger was going to fall flat... unless he didn't fully understand Kissinger’s position.

"Right, but he had to know that his attempt to spin out of it using Kissinger was going to fall flat... unless he didn't fully understand Kissingers position." Well he didn't know HOW exactly McCain would respond. He tried to nuance his way out of it.
Now the MSM (A.K.A> Ministry of Truth) will take the cue and morph the argument.
They will speak it as fact that Kissinger not only backed up Barry's point but endorsed him as well.
Realize that what "we" see here, and what the "average Joe" (who is paying only passing attention) sees are two completely differnt landscapes.

The kiddos are already on board the Obama train, so the only way for Obama to get a gain is to get some of the old geezer vote. His handlers had to know that the topic would come up, cuz it's been out there, so they were told to find someone with gravitas who had talked to bad guys.
Using a guy who's still alive screws everything up, specially one that's in the GOP. If the MSM doesn't ask the source, common Joe wonders why.
