Dirty Astroturf at Republican Rallys

What is political astroturf? When a political movement portrays itself to be grass-roots, and later we find out it was actually planned and coordinated by a political party or candidate. This is usually done in support of the cause or candidate behind the astroturf effort.

The Republicans are now being attacked by a new type of fake grass: dirty atstroturf. Democratic activists are infiltrating Republican rallys pretending to be Republican grass-roots supporters. The Democratic activist's goal? Discredit Republican grass-roots supporters. Their tactic has been to yell vile statements about Democratic candidates, hoping it would smear Republican grass-roots supporters.

So far, the press has has played ball. Instead of investigating who is actually making these statements, the press simply assumes it is those nasty Republicans. It doesn't occur to them to ask why, after months of campaigns (and campaign rallys) only in the last week there has been a rash of vile statements at Republican rallys (including death threats.)

Let me give the press a clue. Two months ago Republicans felt Obama would make a bad president, and they do today also. They felt he was wrong on the issues, was not experienced enough to be president, and lacked the character and integrity to be president. Their feelings about Sen. Obama have not changed in the last week.

And yet, they've gone month after month without verbally threatening anyone. Focusing on issues, character, and experience. Now the press seems to think that, after all those months of acting reasonable, Republican grass-roots supporters have suddenly turned into raving maniacs that scream death threats? No, there is a new player on the scene. Democratic dirty astroturf.

This is a planned effort by Democrats. Attend Republican rallys pretending to be Republican grass-roots supporters, yell vile statements, and hope they stick to the Republicans. IS the press in on this? I know they aren't investigating it.

Republicans will to have to do that themselves. Raise the alarm that there is a dirty astroturf campaign being run by the Democrats. Keep and eye (and ear) open at rallys for people that yell these things, and find out who they are. The only way to stop this is to expose it.

Astroturf doesn't grow in the daylight.

The Democrats are desperate! Their internal polls, not those Zogby/Rasmussen/Gallup/CNN jokes, are telling them that “The One” ain’t gaining traction in the states he needs. Don’t be fooled, FRiends: If Obama isn’t ahead by double digits or more in EVERY swing state on November 3rd, he’ll go down to a crushing defeat like George McGovern did in 1972!!

People around these agitators need to start grabbing them by the collar and finding out for themselves who they are. If a scuffle breaks out, then the real supporters need to be prepared to make the case as to why they grabbed the Obamunist clearly and loudly and refrain from saying anything that can be quoted out of context to make it look like just a hate-filled rumble, as the ObamaMedia will portray it as if possible.
