Bill O’Reilly’s “No Spin Zone” was full of spin in his "Talking Points" opening Thursday night. He desperately tried to make the case that covering gossip from unnamed “insider campaign” sources was actually news. He even went so far to claim that not covering the childish snipes from losing, out of work campaigners would be “suppressing” news.

The real news here was that the Palin children have shown more grace, dignity, and maturity than McCain staffers....
This guy is now a joke...

I am fed up with O’Reilly now that he put on Carl Cameron to spread malicious gossip about Sarah Palin.
I’m not watching any TV news for a while.
BTW, re-runs of NCIS are on USA every week night from 5-8.
“O” gets some things right and some things wrong, but he’s almost always an unbearable blow-hard without a sense of humor to be seen.
I haven’t watched him in years. I told my mother, who played the audio for me over the phone minutes after the Carl interview, that I couldn’t understand why she bothers to watch him at all, that this was hearsay without attribution and without a rebuttal from Sarah and indicative of something within “O.”
May she and others who still watch the flake send his ratings into the tank. Perhaps then, they could bring in a conservative that has a sense of humor and is enjoyable to listen to, Rush Limbaugh.
How nice it was then that Greta, back from Alaska with moosemeat for Karl Rove, covered this with a different slant - that it was disgraceful that these staffers were hiding behind “anonymous” and “inside sources” instead of coming out, showing their faces and say that they’ve got to say in public.
Hooray for Greta.
She also put up a poll, then reported the replies - something like 304 “Palin hurt the campaign” and 40,000+ that Gov Palin was the best thing that happened to the McCain campaign.
Paraphrasing but notice the numbers?
Greta gets it - and Bill O’R doesn’t. Covering the news? That is the sorriest excuse for gossip I have yet to hear!!!
FOX must now pander to the vapid ‘hope and change generation’.
Bill O’Reilly can go to Hell.

LMAO! I e-mailed Oreilly yesterday evening that if he had gonads the size of bbs he would stand up to FOX for their attacks on Sarah. Guess this was my answer. What a putz.

You stated that you were compelled to air Carl Cameron’s gleefully breathless gossip about Governor Palin because it was news, and that you are not in the business of suppressing news.
However, when the John Edwards’ scandal finally broke through in the mainstream media, you stated that you’d known about the scandal for some time but suppressed that story because it was unsubstantiated!
So, a scandal involving the fundamental moral character of a current presidential candidate is NOT newsworthy, even though those who were reporting the story (the National Enquirer) were providing named sources. However, petty gossip (she was wearing a bathrobe when she answered the door? OH my God! The horror!) from totally anonymous sources about a FORMER vice presidential candidate IS newsworthy.
I get it now! You, sir, are a hypocrite. And Carl Cameron is a pin head.

I was yelling at BO’R in the first few seconds of his talking points memo. How many times has he told us he is NOT in the NEWS BUSINESS and all of a sudden, last night he WAS in the NEWS BUSINESS?? O’R’s not going to last much longer in our house!

I like Greta. When she believes in something or someone she really stands up for it/them.
That smary Politico guy she had on the other night talking about the effort to smear Gov. Palin through “anonymous sources” said there was more that didn’t come up that was negative about Gov. Palin. Greta smacked him down.
I hate stuck-up, smarmy, snooty, sarcastic know-it-all types. A pox on them all!
I’m glad Greta is interviewing Gov. Palin soon. Greta did seem to have a good time in Alaska and she is very adaptable to new surroundings and people when she goes to new places. She doesnt seem like the type to whine about ruining her “Gucci” shoes on muddy Alaskan fishing banks, etc.like...er...some..MSM chicklets might.
