These days I’ve been scratching my head wondering what in the world is going on with a man I used to admire. I’m talking about Newt Gingrich. Newt’s new style of softball politically correct politics has really got me wondering, When did Newt decide to sell his soul ?
Short answer: Yes.
ALL: “Let he who is without sin cast the first stone.”
Let’s pray for people instead of curse them.
We need to exhort, not kick, people who fall short of our ideals.
On the contrary, from his recent posts on his own website he seems to be going on the offensive.
A good backhand says a lot.
Sadly, Mr. Newt is more a political animal than he is an ideologue.
I’ll have to dig into his site a bit deeper but offensive sounds good. I just hope his plan is more than just koombiyah.

Newt was neutered by the RATS long ago.
I think Newt has 2012 aspirations, and he is positioning himself as a “man of solutions” and not a partisan.
I still think he’s solid, FWIW.
Oh yeah, it’s so terrible that Newt wants to work with Democrats and help solve problems. Let’s castrate him!
Yup, Newt’s gone wobbley. Definately become a “Washingtonian”. Funny how it took him to get voted out of Washington to become a Washingtonian. I will be disregarding him in the future. Let’s not get hung up over him. Time to move on.

He’ll be 69 in 2012 (I think). Why did he avoid running this time around ?

Newt is trying to have it both ways: appear aggressive enough to be RNC chairman, but also be “nice” enough to be invited on TV shows and get a big speaking fee.
He hopped in for a week or so and then got out. I think he saw an opening and wanted to, but decided it couldn’t be done given the Republican opposition already had the field sewn up. I don’t know what his plans are for sure, but he is acting like someone who wants to run again. Age will be a factor.
