She is a defender of all faith groups...as all true American leaders should be. She won’t sell out like we’ll see Barry the socialist do.

Would you prefer that Mrs Palin were anti-Semitic?

She’s showing outreach to other Abrahamic religions, focusing on COMMONALITIES, exactly as the liberals _claim_ to do.

But she’s reaching out for real.

And would you have the same response if she celebrated with a Muslim group?

This woman is incapable of only one thing: INCAPABLE of a bad photo LOL! What a treat. Notice the appropriate BLUE top, also on Piper, that’s not by accident, I do believe Sarah is well aware of Scripture and traditions, and thanks XeniaSt for that!

In many of Paul’s writings he never validated Jewish ceremonies over salvation in Christ. Paul pleaded with his Jewish brethren to accept Christ as the Messiah. Besides, I’ve never known of one (non-messianic) Jew who celebrated Christmas. She needs to tread lightly. I’m not judging her motives or intent. I just don’t want her feeling pressured to celebrate Kwanzaa or Ramadan or the ‘winter solstice’ next year.

Guess you haven’t read John 10:22? Jesus celebrated Hanukkah. Guess forgot - Jesus is A JEW!

Wow are you unread in Scripture. Have you read Acts 21 and 22? Paul was in the Temple offering sacrifices, so your contention about Paul’s departure from Judaism is kooky.

You are correct. Jesus indeed was a Jew and celebrated Hanukkah.

Not “was” - **IS** a Jew. And sadly, many Jews celebrate “Christ-Mass”

I'm not judging your motives or intent either, but regardless of what you might interpret into Paul... a Governor or President is Governor or President for ALL citizens. Not only the religion you hold true. There's that thing called 1st Amendment.

Beside that Hanukkah reminds us of an event in the history of God's relationship with his people that is historically and spiritually important for ALL of us. All free men can learn something from the Maccabees.

I often enough joined Jewish friends in their celebrations of Hannukah, and I don't let anyone question my faith.

Not regarding you specifically... but it gives me some headaches how sweet and innocent threads get soured by negativity.

As one who certainly understood and believed in the nature of His own divinity and salvation of others via substitutionary atonement, clearly Christ was —and is— Christian.

Correspondingly, it is inaccurate to contend that His religion was one that to this day rejects all of those tenets.

Christ cannot be identified as an adherent of a religion that rejects Christ.

The difference between Christian and non-Christian religions is Christ.

Thus, it is imperative for Christians to, in fact, focus on the difference.

“Jesus celebrated the Festival of Lights with others in Jerusalem, too... It’s something that all Christians should keep in mind.”

Thank you.
