I am appalled by the thought of comparing Obama to Lincoln. This is what HE wants and it is the pinnacle of arrogance on his part. This is an absolutely absurd notion that could only be seriously entertained by a nation of people ignorant of their country's history, who were inculcated with revisionism from the time of their childhood onward.
I wrote about this a couple months ago before it became fashionable. Above is the link to the column at www.BlackJFK.com explaining WHY this is an OUTRAGE.

"We knew Abraham Lincoln; Abe Lincoln was the father of our Party; President Elect Obama, you're no Abraham Lincoln."

Obama is the father of the smokescreen
I have been thinking the SAME thing all day. Lincoln was Republican! And our GOP party has been fighting FOR civil rights for decades, while democrats fought against it!!!!!!!!
Outrageous indeed! obozo’s campaign idiot groups have strategically been comparing obozo to Lincoln for the black voters, to Roosevelt & his New Deal for the RAT voters, and to Kennedy for the liberal voters.
What’s even more interesting is all the publicity placed on Martin Luther King Day and in the south it’s also the Gen. Robert E. Lee Day where people say, “Thank you, General!”
Lincoln and Obama are actually a lot alike. Lincoln too, was a drug dealer, terrorist sympathizer, and socialist. And Lincoln’s wife also looked like Lebron James.

That Abraham Lincoln is today a hero to U. S.
Communists is a matter of plain geometry.
In revolutionary jargon, Communist policy is
known as the Party Line, and lately the Party
Line has described a neat curve toward democracy.
In recent Communist thought Lincoln, Jefferson, and
Tom Paine have assumed a stature comparable to that
of Joseph Stalin and Vladimir Ilyich Lenin.
However much this may surprise the bourgeoisie,
Communists planned it that way.
This week they also planned their convention and
its publicized dramatics to impress upon all U. S.
minds a man, a policy, a party, a program.
Lincoln trod upon the constitution on so many occasion, I can’t praise him, for a good portion of his term in office.
I am a northerner who does not believe there should have ever been slavery....that being said, breaking our constitution in order to give basic human rights should not be excusable.
Obama's barely even seen the inside of a courtroom as an attorney.
The DemocRAT history is full of first.
First Community Organization - Ku Klux Klan!
First Educational Policy - Separate Schools by Race!
First Political Policy - Poll Taxes to insure poor, (read Negros) were denied the right to vote.
I believe his emulation of Lincoln is not so good. In typical Democrat drivel he proposes a new Declaration of Independence where
"Government of Obama, by Obama and For Obama...."
And his co conspirators Pelosi and Reid are focusing on "changing the rules" so that the South can rise again!
Let him make all the allusions that he wants. All the better to elevate him such that his fall will be all the harder. If you seek the demise of liberal thought it needs to be fully illuminated for all to see in order that it be rejected.
This time my family will be on the right side.
What drives me crazy is that he plans to use Lincoln’s bible at his immaculation (thanks to Rush for the term). He’ll probably rip off the insides and substitute pages from the Koran.
Socialists have been trying to steal Abraham Lincoln since the Spanish Civil War.
But read the column at www.BlackJFK.com The reality is that Obama is pro-slavery at heart. That’s the hypocracy.
What is the upside to comparing yourself to President who was assassinated?
I read the article, and I agree with the author’s premise. Obama’s comparing himself to Lincoln makes no ideological sense. They have few similarities except height and coming from the state of Illinois.
The 20th-century President whose election most resembles that of Obama may be Warren G. Harding--elected because the nation wanted change and he looked good. Unfortunately his understanding of economics was weak, not a whole lot better than Obama's, but he made good cabinet picks--at least if you leave out the men who got caught up in scandal.
