Here is the AL.com web page of the riot. Article re the riot. The game was NOT played at a high school gym. It was being played at Alabama State University (one of the all black colleges).

They’re always the same.

GW Carver from Montgomery and Valley High which I think is in Randolph County although I could be mistaken.
Both school names were mentioned in the article.
