Crotchety, caustic David Letterman had CBS News anchor Katie Couric howling with laughter when he called Rush Limbaugh a “bonehead.” The late night loser then said Limbaugh looked like an “East European gangster.”
Couric joined the in the fun and delivered this rib tickler, “So much for my interview with Rush.”
Can someone tell us why either of these two are still paid millions of dollars a year?
Letterman was once unpredictable and inventive, but those days are long gone. Couric was once…well…we don’t really remember what her claim to fame was.
It’s sad to see what happens to people when they lose in the ratings year after year after year.

Letterman lost our “business” months ago. He used to be part of the tiny bit of teevee I ever watched. Not any more!

I think that Letterman and his ilk can’t discuss the merits of the issues that Rush discusses. So since they can’t discuss the merits, they go the personal attack route. How special. How clever.
I wonder if he still makes money for CBS? I wonder if he will go to the dentist about his teeth? What would liberals say if somebody attacked Letterman about such issues? they would claim that’s mean personal and vicious, right????

Yep, Katie Couric was all perky and cheerful in the morning on the Today Show. They wanted to make her into a serious news anchor woman. I wonder if CBS has made back their investment on her?
I don’t take either of these people seriously.

You’re exactly right. Neither Letterman nor Couric have the first clue with regard to anything substantive going on in government. Not the slightest. But we’re supposed to be in awe when they make their pronunciamentos about things they know nothing about.

They are just bitter clingers still working for the networks. Network TV died off comletely somtime in the late 90’s after everyone started getting high speed internet and 400 cable channels.

You know, I would really love to know what they think is so boneheaded about what Rush said. Is it what he said or how he looks or what ??? Do they really believe what Rush said and how Conservatives think and believe to be “boneheaded”, its so bizarre to me. ,

The first time I remember hearing about this assclown was when she replaced a pregnant anchor on the Today show...and immediately got pregnant herself. That was before I started caring about politics...at least, as much as I do now.
