Bumper sticker encounter with Obama supporter [vanity]
self | 3/6/09 | NewJerseyJoe

Posted on 03/06/2009 10:51:12 AM PST by NewJerseyJoe

Earlier today, I was parked at the Highland Lakes (Vernon, NJ) post office, picking up my mail. My new bumper sticker (following) was prominently displayed:

Blame the Obama Voters bumper sticker

When I came out and headed to my car, a woman in a nearby car, seeing that I was the owner of the "offending" bumper sticker, said to me: "Yay, President Obama. I voted for him." Real mousy voice, and a mousy looking woman; she looked to me like someone who was smoking dope every night, 25 years ago.

Knowing what a waste of time and effort it is to try to educate morons, I simply replied: "I'm sorry to hear that" and got in my car and drove away.

When I came out and headed to my car

Working people frequently ask retired people what they do to make their days interesting.

Well, for example, the other day I went downtown and into a shop. I was only there for about 5 minutes, and when I came out, there was a cop writing out a parking ticket.

I said to him, 'Come on, man, how about giving a retired person a break'? He ignored me and continued writing the ticket. I called him a 'Nazi.' He glared at me and wrote another ticket for having worn tires.

So I called him a 'doughnut eating Gestapo.' He finished the second ticket and put it on the windshield with the first. Then he wrote a third ticket.

This went on for about 20 minutes. The more I abused him the more tickets he wrote.

Personally, I didn't care. I came downtown on the bus, and the car that he was putting the tickets on had a bumper sticker that said, 'Obama in '08 .'

I try to have a little fun each day now that I'm retired. It's important to my health.

I don’t get a chance. They’re usually the ones flying by me on the highway doing 80+ while also sporting some sort of “green” sticker.

Bumperstickers; I got a new one in my head:

Don't Blame Me, I voted For The American

That one did not go over well with my gay brother in SF. He actually had an Obama shirt on when I said it, and I dunno if I'll be getting a card this Christmas

I was just joshing you. Besides, a person can has as many vehicles as they chose to have. Though there was a sly joke hidden in there too, about the amount, what with the East Coast, along with the Left one, being over-run with lefty's who make noises about U.S. "over consumption".

I figured that as a teacher (if that is indeed your occupation), you might be surrounded with them. If you were a teacher on the Left Coast, you would be.

Some folks around here have been using variations of this as a bumber sticker;

which I interperate as a play on "fubar", like --- fouled up by Obama, but also it's a play on For Us, By Us, "FUBU" clothing company, which has become something of a racist "black" thing, in that the clothing company is black owned, and supposedly, white folks 'aint supposed to where the label's clothing...or so I'm told.
I'm not certain, but the "fubo" logo above, might look exactly like the "fubu" with one letter changed.

The idea has already riffed into stuff like ---
