Well folks Britney Spears, the queen of comebacks has done it again. After the previous years' meltdown which lead to her being hospitalized twice at UCLA as well as her being placed under emergency guardianship, Britney Spears is back again like a boomerang. Already there is talks of a movie deal and perhaps another sleazy album. But the road back up has been long and hard and although she is now seeking treatment for "Bipolar" disorder, psychiatrists in charge of her care may be doing more to undermine her mental health than promote it.
Britney Spears was incarcerated in UCLA's psyche ward due to a major melt down after losing a custody case to her ex-husband Kevin Federline. According to Spears, he had an affair with her mother and was unfit. Yet Britney Spears too was unfit due to excessive partying and drinking not to mention her use of illegal narcotics. Both parents were clearly not suited yet a judge decided to award the children to Federline.
Spears was diagnosed with Bipolar disorder, a mental illness that involves mood swings from a sluggish and depressed state to a hyper manic state. She was prescribed Risperdal, a drug meant to stabilize moods but that leads to out of control eating, higher anxiety and that at times can undermine mood stability for some. Spears showed signs of excessive weight gain sparking rumors of pregnancy. Spears refused to take it at first and continued acting recklessly. Doctors demanded that Britney return to taking her meds and end her wreck less driving. After refusing she was involuntarily committed. She was also placed under emergency guardianship under her father.
A closer investigation during Spears' ordeal found that psychiatrists did more to undermine Spears than help her. When commenting to the media of unjust actions taken in siding with Kevin Federline, she brought up that He had an affair with Her mother. Psychiatrists immediately steeped in and labeled her statements as the result of delusions without a single shred of evidence. Delusion is a frequent term used by psychiatrists to discredit victims and deny them their rights. Of course they are psychiatrists so if they say anything regardless if there is not evidence it must be true.
Britney Spears continued to deteriorate during the term of her conservator ship under her father. Psychiatrists Observing her behavior found that Spears showed signs of worsening depression. Her medication was having no positive effect. Spears was still forced to take Risperdal and she continued gaining weight and deteriorate during her conservator ship.
Later, with help from new medications and lifestyle changes, Britney got better, (but we all know that will change.)
Psychiatrists under Spears have done very little for the pop star. They supported her mother Lynne against her daughter and covered up her affair with her ex husband. There can be no doubt that unscrupulous doctors were a major factor in denying Brit custody of her daughters despite parental counseling and rehab. In the opinion of the author, neither two are fit without rehabilitation.
It is not the first time stuff like this has happened. Psychiatrists throughout history have concealed and hidden abuses by criminal family members against their victims. Women who are the victims of marital rape, incest, beatings and other atrocities are usually labeled as delusional by doctors to cover up misdeeds. Other times they blame the victim and claim that their supposed "illness" is responsible.

Her former manager Sam (Osama) Lufti probably used to keep Spears drugged. Thankfully her father intervened. Too bad it took him so long to do so. As for the shrinks, who the hell knows if they know what they are doing.
Where to begin...well, start with the most obvious of all the errors printed above...the spawn of Spears/Federline are two little boys...no daughters. And even at the worst of the umbrella swinging; head shaving; pantyless mayhem Spears descended into, there was never a media mention of an affair between K-Fed and Lynn Spears. Nevah...

It seems these days that every person who does weird things is bi-polar. Get caught screwing the neighbor?? You are bi-polar. Shave your head, bi-polar,I think a lot of bad behavior is excused simply by claiming to be bi-polar.
At some point she had mental health TO undermine?
She didn't act any crazier than a number of victims of bipolar disorder I've known over the years ~ probably better than some ~ definitely better than the ones who came up with the ultimate in self-edication ~ total tranking with Old Overholt!
Why in the world would she want to end her wreck less driving?
FWIW, she had a concert here last week. According to the reviews, she looked great.
Brit has sons, not daughters.
Unscrupulous or scrupulous doctors may or may not have helped her, but she seems better than she was. The tabloids print the worst possible photos of her, but I don’t think she’s gone off the rails recently and she can probably hold it together and succeed.
Let’s just wish her well and be done with it.

I think bipolar illness is being overdiagnosed these days, whereas back before the 1970s or so it was underdiagnosed and schizophrenia was overdiagnosed.
