CFR’s World Government Platform

All the world's a stage, And all the men and women merely players.. – Shakespeare, As You Like It

Remember all those “conspiracy theorists” who would continually remind (or attempt to remind) America that most of our government is comprised of and powered by the CFR (Council of Foreign Relations)? Remember how people laughed at these harbingers of doom as if they were crazy? Well, crazy no more. Here is a bit from its program, The International Institutions of Global Governance Program:

The Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) has launched a comprehensive five-year program on international institutions and global governance. The purpose of this cross-cutting initiative is to explore the institutional requirements for world order in the twenty-first century. The undertaking recognizes that the architecture of global governance—largely reflecting the world as it existed in 1945—has not kept pace with fundamental changes in the international system, including but not limited to globalization. Existing multilateral arrangements thus provide an inadequate foundation for addressing today’s most pressing threats and opportunities and for advancing U.S. national and broader global interests. The program seeks to identify critical weaknesses in current frameworks for multilateral cooperation; propose specific reforms tailored to new global circumstances; and promote constructive U.S. leadership in building the capacities of existing organizations and in sponsoring new, more effective regional and global institutions and partnerships. This program is made possible by a generous grant from the Robina Foundation. – CFR.org May 1,2008

I know this has nothing to do with this article BUT I have a question. How did Rick Warren become a CFR member and why?

The Council on Foreign Relations publishes a magazine called Foreign Relations. There is an article in the April 1974 edition by Richard N. Gardner entitled “The hard road to world order”. It is available on the internet and makes for an interesting read. Here are a couple of passages from the article that you may find interesting. “In short, the house of world order will have to be built from the bottom up rather than from the top down. An end run around national sovereignty, eroding it piece by piece, will accomplish much more than the old fashioned assault...” one way to garner public support for new international treaties would be to propagandize world wide predicaments. If people are scared of terrorism, financial chaos or global warming they will be willing to cede their national sovereignty, freedom and liberties for global authority”. I guess they decided to deploy all three at the same time to insure an outcome in their favor. The combination of the words and the actions of these people sure sounds like treason to me.
