Obama Efforts to Displace French President Rankle Sarkozy
A Semi-News/Semi-Satire from AzConservative ^ | 4 April 2009 | John Semmens

Posted on 04/05/2009 11:35:26 AM PDT by John Semmens

Not all are enamored with President Barack Obama’s efforts to change US policy toward Europe. Especially miffed is French President Nicolas Sarkozy who expressed opposition and resentment over Obama’s attempt to oust him by naming his predecessor Jacques Chirac as the man he wanted to negotiate with on matters of state.

For his part, Obama said he wasn’t trying to dictate who should be France’s president. “I tried to get this done through private communication and persuasion,” Obama explained. “I just thought that given our respective views, the relations between our two countries would proceed more smoothly if Chirac were to retake the helm of the French Republic.”

Obama admitted he was unfamiliar with how the president of France is chosen. “It’s always seemed like a ‘musical chairs’ system to me,” Obama mused. “It’s not like there are regular elections at set intervals like we have. A different guy seems to be in charge every few months in these European countries. It’s very confusing and hard to follow.”

Apparently adding to the confusion was Obama’s impression that the people of France had endorsed his program of hope and change—giving him “a mandate to make some adjustments in governance when and where needed to implement the global transformation I’ve been promising to everyone.”

Am I wrong or is this guy a total maroon? Is Chirac even in government now. What an insult to the French. And what the he$$ does adjustments in governance mean? Are my ears deceiving me?

Dang it! John, ya got me again.

I'd been looking for something like that and my heart leapt as I read those words.

Excellent work as always...

The reason these satire articles get us going so easily, they are not out of the realm of possibility. The source gave it away. If the source had been a real source, we would have been screaming in disagreement, but I doubt any of us would have been shocked.

John, these last two just about had me. Of course, I’m getting over the flu so I’m a little sluggish of mind. :-)

Good stuff!

Thank you every American that voted for this idiot. If America survives 4 years of this asinine child, there will never be another liberal/socialist/democrat leftist President for 100 years...
