Here’s one to add to your playlist, Mike. And people thing the ‘uke’ is a ‘lame’ instrument. ;-) Enjoy.

Thanks for posting.
I like! I like!
Or maybe I just don't like or understand this style of music. Still, I hear a little Phil Keaggy in his playing.
You’re a Metheny fan, too? :) One of my faves is ‘Letter From Home’...which I learned on piano (request from hubby). I always imagine a soldier out there reading a letter from a ‘loved one’.
Incredible. Absolutely outstanding. Thanks for sharing.
Reminds me of Michael Hedges with the tapping and open chord tuning. He seems very young and does with such ease but watching his face is as interesting as watching him play — very expressive.
that was great! never ever heard a Ucayali played like that!
Did I spell that right?
Meh! Just call it a ‘uke’ ;-)
BRAVO! OUTSTANDING! (thanks for posting)
could we have a bit more info?? name?
THis guy is obviously Indian, and though I only watche a minute of this, it’s clear he’s playing it on the guitar
EXACTLY the way he would play it on a sitar.
I would bet he plays sitar also.
He manages to make the guitar, the minute I heard
of it, sound VERY much like a sitar.
It’s on the video, when you click on it his name is right there. It’s YouTube.

This chick is good too.
Woow!
Metheny did some great stuff with Jaco Pastorius and Joni Mitchell also - look into Shadows and Light by Joni Mitchell if you don’t already own it. The video is pretty impressive also. I’m sure you can find some of that stuff on youtube as well.
Seek and you shall enjoy :)

Also look for free man in paris...
It’s the scales that he’s using . Many sitarist can’t play guitar it a whole different thing. It’s easier for a guitarist to switch to sitar though .
