IIRC, the Dems have few open primaries. They aren’t as stupid as the Pubbies regarding that.
Gringrich should be concerned with the GOP. It was the cross-overs who gave McCain the nomination which resulted in a major GOP defeat. Obama won by 2-to-1 electoral votes.
I think the point is to say what difference does it make if Conservative ideas and principals are forwarded through the Republican party or the Democratic party
Open primaries and “winner take all” outcomes make it likely that the GOP will continue to nominate whomever the Dems and media want....
