More than 20,000 people turned out to see Palin lead a parade through downtown Auburn and sign a proclamation honoring Seward, the 19th-century Secretary of State who negotiated the $7.2 million deal with Russia for Alaska, which is celebrating its 50th year of statehood.

NY might survive if they toss out the NYC welfare state and the Albany political class. You notice how little time Sen HRC spent in the upstate areas or how hard the taxes and green nazi regulations killed the industries of Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse et. al.

“She draws bigger crowds than the Washington Nationals have this week, COMBINED !...lol”

LMAO...you are SO right, ohioconservative. I turned down freebies right behind 3rd base for tomorrow—and it’s supposed to be a gorgeous day here. It’s just way too painful to watch.

The Washington Post has the obligatory Palin bash:

Palin's trip was paid for by her political action committee, SarahPAC. Palin's trips have been an issue in the past. The Alaska governor has been given until June 23 to reimburse the state for an estimated $10,000 in costs associated with trips taken by her children, under an agreement resolving an ethics complaint against her.

And the obligatory anti-Palin observer:

Local resident Chris Stone, with his wife and three children, said he didn't care for Palin's politics but didn't want to miss the chance to see her in person. "You can see by the turnout, she's become a personality and a historical figure," said Stone, who voted for Obama. "I know all these people aren't Republicans. This is a chance to see someone who has had a big impact on history."

And the obligatory anti-Palin protest:

As she spoke, about a dozen protesters from the Defenders of Wildlife Action Fund, a lobbying group that seeks to protect wildlife and the environment, held up signs condemning her continued promotion of the aerial hunting of wolves, but the large crowd was mostly receptive to her appearance.

At one point, Palin said she shared with Susan B. Anthony a desire for the protection of women. "For me, that includes our youngest sisters, girls in the womb," she said.

Outstanding!!
Neither Elizabeth Cady Stanton nor Susan B. Anthony accepted abortion as a means for women to control their own lives. They considered it heinous, and just another way for MEN to control women. They would not even recognize the 'Women's Movement' of today.

Wow, you really have a problem with Sarah don't you.

I'll put my two cents in.

Sarah Palin and Michele Bachmann in 2012 with Liz Cheney as Secretary of State. And 8 years later Michele Bachmann and Liz Cheney for another 8 years.

Watch the video at http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-1656880303867390173 and learn just who is running the USofA ever since 1913. It's NOT who you probably think.

I agree. Sarah is great...Her political rise is a great (and rare) story of how adherence to principle - especially to transparency and accountability in government - can produce political success.

She advocates the practical common-sense conservatism of Middle America. The center-right. And significantly, Palin is capable of reviving a modern-era Reagan coalition of the entrepreneurial middle-class and blue-collar workers who unite traditional economic conservatives (that believe in smaller government and tax relief) with blue-collar workers who hold traditionalist views on culture or morality.

This woman governor from Alaska is like GOLDA MEIR of Israel who had great inner strength and high moral convictions. This is the kind of leadership that I think we need now in America.

After a couple of years of Baracka-Obama-ding-dong taking his little turns on the catwalk you will be dying to have a leader like Sarah take housecleaning to a whole new level...

I’ll put my money on Sarah standing above dishonest criticism and gaining national appeal long before I’ll see the moment when the rise of the oceans begin to slow & our planet begins to heal.

Go Sarah!!

I loved this speech. And folks, to me, this sounded like a speech of a candidate looking to the future.

Palin 2012!

That doesn’t necessarily indicate a dislike of Sarah, but simply a recognition that she has political drawbacks as well as strengths and her success or failure will largely be determined by her own performance rather than other people’s actions.

Go to www.conservatives4palin.com for the 25-minute speech at the Seward House.

I think you’ll find she’s already demonstrating that she understands the mess Obama is making. She touches on apologizing for our country, energy, healthcare, stimulus, national defense, national education standards, bailouts, selling our soul to foreign countries, etc.

Check it out. Seriously.

You're missing the point.

Read post #2 and then post #23, before addressing my post #52.

Perhaps you meant to say a similar thing about post #23 and you (lol) forgot.
