I just saw an Obama spokesman on Fox make the absurd claim that Publicly financed health care would cut costs by bringing "competition" to health care.
I found this claim to be absurd to the point of laughability. Government financed health care does not need to be worried about cost because the money comes from the taxpayers. There can be no "competition" between government and private providers, because private providers do not have the force of the government to collect taxes, promote regulations, and use the power of the state to force competitors from business.
This is an incredible use of the "big lie" technique. I hope that Rush and others address this, because it must not go unanswered.
Much of the reason our health care costs are so high is because the government has done so much to prevent competition and push third payer systems.
Gub’ment will underprice it (using taxpayer money) and drive private insurers out of business.
Anyone that believes Obama is a fool.
In a free economy, the government should NEVER compete with private business.
But, this isn’t a free economy anymore, is it?
Just like Amtrak has competition for passenger train service.
OBAMA is not telling the American people that with a government health program the people will not be able to sue the government like they can with private health insurance.
Competetion? The zero’s plan is to make government insurance so cheap (via taxpayer subsidies) that it will literally drive all the others out of business that then government medicine will be the only game in town.

College Tuition.
Senate Cafeteria.
Social Security
Medicare
Nasa
If it can’t be sold as one thing, market it under a different name.
That has always been the leftists strategy.
That’s exactly why AMA is for 0’s farce.
They want your money, but they don’t want any responsibilities.
Subsidized competition is unfair competition. Not to mention inefficient competition.
