DUmmie FUnnies 06-15-09 ("Biden says 'everyone guessed wrong' on jobs number")

Oops!

Such a reaction would be adequate if you locked yourself out of your car. It happens to most of us at one time or another. However, it is woefully inadequate as a response when you blow nearly $800 billion of taxpayers money on a government program that failed completely. Such was the response of VP Joe Biden on Meet The Press yesterday when he said that "everyone guessed wrong" on the economic stimulus package.

Oops!

And now the DUmmies are upset that Biden said this out in the open where it is sure to hurt their Beloved Barack bigtime as you can see in this THREAD, "Biden says 'everyone guessed wrong' on jobs number."

Oops!

And what's with this "everone" bit, Kemosabe? In all of congress only 3 turncoat RINOs of the Republicans (and now one Democrat) voted for the "stimulus package." And of course NONE of those voting for that bill had a chance to even read it. They were urged to vote for it blindly and immediately or else the country would collapse. Of course now Six-Pack Joe is trying to claim that "everyone" guessed wrong. Face it, Joe. You guys GOOFED and now you are trying to spread the blame around.

Oops!

So let us now watch the DUmmies get upset by Joe's open admission of error in Bolshevik Red while the commentary of your humble correspondent, watching the Democrats (and 3 RINOs) flush close to a trillion dollars down the toilet, is in the [barackets]:

Biden says 'everyone guessed wrong' on jobs number

[Oops! Spread the blame!]

WASHINGTON (AP) — Vice President Joe Biden said Sunday that "everyone guessed wrong" on the impact of the economic stimulus, but he defended the administration's spending designed to combat rising joblessness.

[We are right, even though we are wrong.]

Biden said inaccuracies in unemployment predictions shouldn't undercut the White House's support of the $787 billion economic revival plan that has not met the expectations of President Obama's team. Instead, the vice president urged skeptics to look at teachers who kept their classroom assignments and police officers who kept their beats because of financial assistance from Washington.

[Translation: Please believe us in the future when we propose to waste another trillion or two when we propose our next massive program.]

"The bottom line is that jobs are being created that would not have been there before," Biden said.

[Many more unemployment case workers that weren't there before.]

But they are not coming at the pace first estimated.

[The pace is picking up...for those entering the ranks of the unemployed. And now on to the DUmmie Peanut Gallery...]

guessed? WTF are these guys doing guessing. Are you kidding me. Don't they have numbers and studies and such. Why the hell would anyone in charge be guessing. GIVE ME A BREAK. These are just more lies to justify the previous lies. Let me take a guess,,,, lets see,,, joblessness will remain the same or increase. It might even go down a little; thats a guess

[Oops! Who let this LOUSY FREEPER TROLL into this DUmmie thread?]

Biden is not just anyone in charge. He is THE guy in charge of tracking the stimulus.

[Don't you feel so much better knowing that our economic future is in the hands of Six-Pack Joe?]

They spent a trillion dollars on a guess?

[Oops!]

I am just guessing, but I think the public is not going to like Biden's statement.

[Gee, ya think?]

Biden can go f*ck himself. There were lots of educated people who weren't guessing who called bullshit on these numbers. Those people were told, as usual, to shut the hell up.

[I believe those people are called "conservatives."]

9.4% unemployment isn't that bad. Bush's numbers were worse.

[Hmmm... Worst unemployment rate in 26 years. Simple math would tell me that skips the Bush years.]

U-6, which accounts for discouraged workers, no longer looking is at 16.4%. And it's gonna get a lot worse by September, Joe.

[Say it ain't so, Joe!]

A LOT worse. Aftereffects from GM and Chrysler cuts will begin by then. Heck, all the primary layoffs are not done from just those two, yet.

[You mean the Lightworker can't just wave his magic wand and spread Pixie Dust on the economy?]

Over 10% is depression type numbers and plenty of states are there.

[There is certainly going to be a mass depression in DUmmieland when economic reality sinks in.]

Hyperinflation is the optimistic scenario.

[A DUmmie spreading happiness and cheer.]

Just read today about the year 1923 and what it meant to be in Germany then. The same half a ham that cost 4 Marks in 1914 soared in price to an amazing 4 Billion marks in 1923. It was almost impossible for cashiers to handle sales - on some days prices went up so much in just three minute increments that by the time you got through the small line at the grocery, what you were buying was significantly more expensive.

[I would love to sell a ham named Joe at any price.]

If proper accountability and reporting had been built into the stimulus, and proper tracking occurred after the stimulus, so much guesswork would not be necessary. Similarly, if proper conditions, accountability and reporting had been built into the TARP, lending TARP money would have begun immediately, TARP money would not have been used for obscene bonuses and $3000 wastebaskets, etc.

[If...If...IF!!! IF only the Congress and Senate were allowed to READ TARP before they voted for it. But noooooo! The Obamatons insisted it had to be voted on RIGHT WAY without any analysis. IF!!!]

They are pissing away money like it's nothing while food banks are emptying out. I am not willing to let them off the hook for so doing incompetently.

[So does this mean you will be attending an upcoming Tea Party?]

When you have been given the information that contradicts your projections and shows them to be false, that is no longer a guess or a mistake, it becomes a deliberate lie.

[GASP! How dare you cast aspersions upon the veracity of The One & Co?]

No, Joe, EVERYONE did NOT guess WRONG. I'm gonna have a stroke here sooner or later dealin' with all the monumental stupidity comin' outta the Obaminable Administration. Hey, JOE, check out the daily Stock Market Watch thread on DU and find out that there have been a whole f*ckin' lot of us who DIDN'T guess wrong. WE KNEW what the hell was goin' on when you were still tryin' to keep your VP chances secret. Hell, Joe, we knew way back when Hillary still had a chance, maybe even before Kerry was nominated. MAYBE EVEN BEFORE THAT SNOT-NOSED AWOL FLYBOY STOLE THE ELECTION IN 2000. Am I makin' myself clear, Joe?

[You almost qualified for a Kewpie Doll...until the next to last sentence.]

You and Barack and Jill and Michelle, you don't need us no mo'. You don't give a flyin' f*ck what we think, what we do, how we bleed and suffer and beg and die. You're a flippin' phoney, Joe. A flippin' lyin' sack-o-shit phoney. Spare me your shock.

[A DUmmie swears off her gods.]

C'mon back to the real world, Joe. Oh, and bring that nice friend of yours, Barack, with you.

[Posted Tansy_Gold from the alternate universe known as DUmmieland.]

This administration lobbied for the second $350 Billion. Obama himself lobbied hard for the first half, making personal phone calls to members of the CBC who had initially been staunchly opposed to TARP. This administration put one of the central players in crafting TARP and the AIG bailout, Geithner, in charge of the Treasury Dept. Of course they deserve some of the blame for the lack of accountability.

[Geithner? Is he even accountable for his own taxes?]

What happens in the next 12 months will really show Obama's true intents. And what I've seen so far, I am hopeful. We DO have to move forward at some point.

[Is that you, Polyanna?]

Problem is, the Obama/Biden/Summers/Geithner/Rubin team IS NOT GOING FORWARD. They're doing all the things that will keep things right where they are. Stagnant. Status quo. Frozen. Paralyzed.

[If a Republican says that on Hardball, Chris Matthews floods the MSNBC studio with outraged drool.]

it's already saved hundreds of thousands of jobs. while the stimulus could have been better, it's certainly slowed the economy's plunge towards the next Great Depression.

[Is that you, Baghdad Bob?]

There's no way whatsoever to calculate whether a job is "saved" or not. They came up with this crap when they realized the stimulus wasn't working, but still wanted to paint a rosy picture despite the country losing hundreds of thousands of jobs a month.

[Your Kewpie Doll is in the mail!]

weapons of mass unemployment.

[LOL!]

I like Biden and I support our President, but I hope that employment numbers weren't really just a guess.

[Would it make you feel better if I told you it wasn't a guess but a guesstimate?]

Worse than Dan Quayle....Never thought I'd type those words.

[Never thought I'd send you a Kewpie Doll.]

"$3 a gallon"

I predicted last January that gas would be up to that amount by summer. My wife asked me how I knew that. I told her because Obama is doing everything he can to make sure that it does. When his sec of the interior, Salazar, banned off-shore drilling, I knew the rise was inevitable. The lunatics are indeed running the asylum.

Most of the comments could have come straight from FR. Maybe the idiots are finally starting to wake up from their long delusional slumber.

9.4% unemployment isn't that bad. Bush's numbers were worse.

WHAT!?! This is pathalogical... some people need to be put away for the public good. Bush's WORST numbers were in the 5.4 neighborhood and best at 4.4 albeit briefly. DUmmies no longer suffices, friggin' idiots doesn't even scratch the surface.

WOW!

This thread on DU looks for the most part like it came from FR. I never thought that I would see the day when they were sounding like real Americans that had a complete thought process.

I think that’s the number one most amazing thing about the average Liberal....they couldn’t predict what socialism would bring PRIOR to the election; they haven’t learned from history and they have zero ability to accurately predict the most basic outcomes. Their heads are so far up their butts dreaming of a utopia and they are such elitist that they really believe the right people can make socialism work. The end result: we all get screwed. Even now they probably think there’s some genius Liberal who could make socialism work and they’ll vote the same the next time around. In a word they’re idiots—keep doing the same things while expecting different outcomes.

Hilarious! Do you have an all-time favorite edition of DUFU?

I have a several favorites like the Hopi Wise Men and the general meltdown when the Democrats lost again in 2004 which was soon after I started the DUFUs. Then there are the many contributions by Pied Piper Pitt. The whole series of DUFUs surrounding the indictment of Karl Rove on May 12, 2006 ranks way up there.

Possibly the FUnniest DUFU paragraph of all time was when some DUmmie took a DUmp after eating corn. Then when his "extract" solidified" he tossed it into a fire to use as fuel and it started exploding because of the popping popcorns. Can anybody out there conjure up that bit? Possibly the FUnniest paragraph ever written!

I don’t relish my American brothers or sisters suffering, regardless of political stripe.

They supported and voted for someone that they truly believed in, and it’s clear they are getting smashed in the mouth over it on an economic level. At least they appear prepared to throw him over a lot sooner than we did Bush II.

I was unemployed for months and you won’t find me snickering over anybody else’s misfortune.
