So the president appoints Daschle originally, finds out he's a tax cheat, reinforces his support, accepts withdrawal, admits mistake, then appoints him to another position that will receive less public scrutiny? Does Daschle need a job that badly?

zerO needs Daschle to herd the cats in Congress. That was the main reason he was appointed originally: to be point man for the health care enslavement racket. This indicates, IMO, that zerO has major problems with the donks supporting his policies. It also indicates just how shallow their bench really is.
Daschle is publicaly flawed. It should be relatively easy to undermine anything he does from here on out.
