I have a question I have been pondering lately, and it is a question I would love to see just one Republican Senator ask.
You see the "wise latina" quote has been spun every which way to Sunday, but there is one rhetorical which has not been asked yet.
Here it is: Lets imagine it 2006 and we are having the Roberts confirmation hearing and it is uncovered that he had said that "A wise white man, with the richness of his experiences would, more often than not, reach a better conclusion" than a judge from a more mixed background."
Imagine how that would have played out.. I mean really do you think Justice Roberts would even BE Justice Roberts at this time?
So why is not the inverse true as well?
It is a question I doubt anyone will think of, and I certainly doubt it will be asked...but if it does I think it would really turn this confirmation hearing on its head.
I want to hear from the ex husband....nothing has been said about him. A load of interesting information could be gained.
Why doesn’t anyone ask her about the white male she kept in jail for an additional 6 years after he missed filing his appeal because he thought it need to be postmarked by a certain date, and she said it needed to be in her hands by the due date. He was subsequently found innocent and released, but he blamed his last 6 years on her.
She is a lazy broad.
After hearing her, at least we can surmise now why he’s an ex.
It is a rhetorical question, as you rightly said, so it would get no answer. It has been remarked on by Lindsey Graham, not asked because it wouldn’t garner a response.
She thinks the measured tempo and overly enunciated tenor of her words makes her seem intellectual....it just plain pisses me off.
She talks like her tongue is too big for her mouth. She sounds like she has some sort of speech impediment,,,sorta like she is trying to talk around a mouth full of hot crap...........
It is the result of the concentration and forethought required to outright mis-state her true beliefs in order to pass some test or hurdle. Try thinking of it like the situation where you might have had one too many, but not too much and you get pulled over by the cops....words come slower with forethought and a whole damn lot of concentration resulting in something that sounds very forced.
Yeah. We’re stuck with her for life. I am better suited to be on the court than she is.
The more she talks, the more she is diminishing Obama's legacy. Obama couldn't even give the nation the "best" of the left. Wise Latina, I think not. The more she talks, the more Sotomayor shows us she is too wise at all.
I am curious why they don’t inquire and point out that 60% of her decisions are overturned on appeal! A great legal mind, or WISE LATINA - I think not !!
I would sincerely like to see this first question asked and nothing further said about the answer except to follow with the second question.
Question #1 :
Please explain the meaning of the words Powers herein granted as found in Article 1, Section 1. Of the Constitution of the United States.
Ref: All legislative Powers herein granted shall be vested in a Congress of the United States, which shall consist of a Senate and House of Representatives.
Question #2 :
Please explain the meaning of the words powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution as found in the tenth Amendment of the Constitution of the United states.
Ref: The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.
If allowed, I would ask for a reconciliation of the answers.
