As I was driving to work this morning, I passed someone with an Obama/Biden bumper sticker. Yes, they may have been proud and confident back before the elections, but can you imagine the shame that they feel now. If I were them, I would quickly remove that bumper sticker. He is not my President and I don't feel one bit of pride with him as our President and Commander in Chief.
“...can you imagine the shame that they feel now...”
You cannot shame or embarrass a dimocrat - or anyone else who voted for the zero.
The 0 sticker is a badge that declares that the owner is absolved of White Guilt and is a Good Person. Anybody with a McCain Palin sticker is an eeeevvviiill person and is really bad.
(/ sarcasm)
Or, as Tolstoy said:
“I know that most men, including those at ease with problems of the greatest complexity, can seldom accept even the simplest and most obvious truth if it be such as would oblige them to admit the falsity of conclusions which they have delighted in explaining to colleagues, which they have proudly taught to others, and which they have woven, thread by thread, into the fabric of their lives.”
I like the variation that reads: Keep Austin Quarantined.
They still wear them with pride. Most of them think they’ve done a wonderful thing.
This morning, an OpossumVoter was traveling at about 5mph under the limit. I, OTOH, prefer to travel at 5mph over the limit to make sure BIGOIL gets their benjamins.
After following the “compassionate one” for a short distance, I had the ooportunity to pass. The bighearted believer in trickle-up poverty then pulled over to the curb to allow me to pass. He extended his arm out of the window whilst scoweling at me as if his small favor was a begrudgment.
I waved cheerily and said...”Suckah!”
Unfortunately, that could have been my daughter.
Sigh
So do I. It’s pretty predictable though.
By the way, I am not connected with any company that manufactures or sells flags.
Seriously, since Sarah announced her plans, sticker sales against Obama and for Sarah have been up markedly.
GO SARAH GO!
I see them all the time. I’d like to flip them the bird, but my wife won’t ever let me.
“...but my wife wont ever let me.”
I won’t comment. :>)
A few seconds of joy is not worth the few hours of grief I would catch.
I usually honk, wave, get their attention and flip them the bird.
My rationale is that, via the bumper sticker, they voice their First Amendment rights, and I have now voiced mine.
maybe in the big cities they are proud.......out here in the boonies......they keep their mouths SHUT. we are mad.
Here is a funny joke: (as opposed to our President, who is a joke, but not funny)
Working people frequently ask retired people what they do to make their days interesting. Well, for example, the other day my wife and I went into town and went into a shop. We were only in there for about 5 minutes. When we came out, there was a cop writing out a parking ticket...We went up to him and said, ‘Come on man, how about giving a senior citizen a break?’ He ignored us and continued writing the ticket. I called him a Nazi t**d. He glared at me and started writing another ticket for having worn tires. So my wife called him a ****-head. He finished the second ticket and put it on the windshield with the first. Then he started writing a third ticket. This went on for about 20 minutes. The more we abused him, the more tickets he wrote. Personally, we didn’t care... We came into town by bus and the car had an Obama sticker. We try to have a little fun each day now that we’re retired. It’s important at our age.
