Why are we destroying perfectly good tools as a nation with this "Cash for Clunkers" program?
Here is a video on what they do to the vehicles that are traded in for this program.
Here's a description from the video site:
This is a video document showing how to seize an engine under the Cash for Clunkers program...After draining the engine oil the vehicle is filled with approximately two-three quarts of salt/water/silica mix. The vehicle is then started and ran till the engine seizes. Enjoy!
I drive a 20 year old car that I love. (Sure it's bluebook value may be $200, but it runs and gets me to where I need to go. It's been all over America multiple times, and is still reliable.)
Why are we encouraging the destruction of perfectly good tools across our nation? What is wrong with our leaders? Why are we encouraging this behavior? There are so many uses for these cars!
I agree. People really should see the pictures and videos of people destroying running vehicles for this program. It won’t hit home till people are exposed to what’s really going on! It just doesn’t sit right with me in my stomach.
I just received a phone call for the audit the fed campaign. The audio recording said the had enough sponsors of the bill in the house that WHEN it comes up for vote if all sponsors vote yes the bill would pass.
They are moving to the Senate and have a major campaign going to get the Senate to pass this legislation. People are starting to take their power back and those that want to control us are doing these type of things to try to keep things in their ballpark.
The game has changed we need to stop being fooled by all the deception. United we stand against corruption.
Do you think they’ll read the bill before voting on it. ;-)
A Glenn Beck caller said this program is just Obama’s test program for the next one: “Cash for Cripples” — where you turn in Granny for money.
That is one of the most chilling things I’ve ever read.
They’ll get my ‘98 Wrangler when they pry my cold, dead hands from the steering wheel.
Thanks to Cash for Clunkers, I now resolve to keep the old beast running as long as it is feasibly possible to do so.
Oh, and another thing...I’m going to get larger tires and run them at 18 PSI, and keep it in third gear all the time, so she’ll drop three or four MPG. Just because I can.
And for my next car, I will intentionally select something used that could fit within the Cash For Clunkers criteria. And again, I will drive it as many years as possible, with low tires, at varying speeds, intentionally choosing routes with a lot of stop-and-go driving.
Take that, Obama.
Hah.
Some people learn from history in order not to repeat a mistake and others learn what works and repeat it.
That was a nice car. What an incredible waste! Affordable, loan free transportation in what looked like a nice car is now taken forever off the market from...THE POOR>>> “The road to hell is paved with BHO’s good intentions”
Bullsh*t. I can gets parts easier for my '76 Chevy van then some of the later model (2000-2008) junk out there.
