The Bastards Are Inside The Gates

No, health care is not a right. Fair and balanced is not a right. Equal time is not a right. Free housing, free food, free education, free beer, etc, are not rights. Abortion is not a right. Gay marriage is not a right. “Entitlements” are not rights. In fact, no one is entitled to anything taken from others, including our tax dollars. And illegal aliens have no right to be here at all, much less rights to entitlements, free housing, free food, free health care, free education, or anything else.

The rights to life, liberty, freedom of speech, freedom of religion, right to keep and bear arms, right to be secure in our homes and persons, right to own and defend private property, rights to trial and to due process, etc, among others, ARE our God-given and constitutionally protected individual rights.

Wealth redistribution is not an enumerated power. The federal government was never intended to rule over the states or the people, or to regulate and control every aspect of our lives and industries, or to collect taxes from individuals for the purposes of doling out to others as they see fit.

Controlling campaigns and elections to the point of restricting our rights to freedom of speech, freedom of association, freedom to petition the government, etc, are not enumerated powers. The entire concept of campaign finance reform is, in fact, a gross violation of the first amendment and an abuse of power by all three branches of government and should be condemned.

Obviously, any law infringing on our rights to keep and bear arms is a direct violation of the second amendment and an abuse of power.

Judicial activism is an abuse of power.

Failure to secure and defend our borders is an abdication of duty.

Failure to defend life and liberty is an abdication of duty.

The primary duties of the federal government are to defend our rights, defend our nation and defend our borders. Liberals, moderates and RINOs want the government to do everything but. Why? The government does a piss poor job of doing what it’s supposed to be doing, so why in the world would anyone want it to do anything extra?

America is not a democracy. We are or were supposed to be a republic. Liberalism/socialism is a like a spreading social disease. It’s antithetical to life and liberty and will be the death of the republic and the liberty we all hold so dear if allowed to fester unchecked.

Funny how the liberals, aided and abetted by the moderates and RINOs, want to invent and passionately defend extra-constitutional rights for their special interest groups while working overtime to erode away and destroy our actual constitutional rights.

Also funny how they want to invent and use extra-constitutional powers for government, most of which are expressly forbidden by the constitution, while at the same time ignoring their basic constitutional duties to defend life and liberty and to secure and defend the nation and our borders.

Funny, but I’m not laughing.

Free Republic is here to defend our liberty. It’s our mission and duty to secure and defend the blessings of liberty for ourselves and our posterity. The enemy is within the gates. Don’t let the bastards steal away your liberty!

I found this in the archives of my own blog. I had quoted it in 2007, but it’s even more appropriate today than it was then. I hope I haven’t broken the rules by reposting it here with a different address.

Jim Rob, we’re with you! It’s well past time to kick the counter-revolution into high gear.

And the rank and file citizen are either not paying attention, don’t care - because all must be well because the messiah is in charge, or will wring their hands while they watch Rome burn.

PREACH ON!

The only thing is...the “Bastards” are not only “Inside the gates”...but they're inside OUR gates! The very gates that our forefathers left US to defend!

It should be our creed, that we will burn this Country down before we will leave it in the hands of a Communist Usurper!

In the case of RINOs, the bass turds are the gate keepers.

I have a better solution. Force them to tele commute and live in their district under our thumb.

That would stop the sell out crap.

The constitution states that the Congress shall meet at least once per year and specifies the time to begin. No legislation would have to be passed to achieve this. The time they are to meet is not specified.

Downsize DC, enforce 10th Amendment, and tell the beaurocraps to go to H—L. Eliminate 75% of Washington and we would never miss them. And consider the cost savings.

Wow Jim, you wrote this one back in 2007?

It seems like it’s so today.

Yep.

You're beginning to get it my young friend. I'm going to hazard a guess that you can't quite put your finger on it, but you know that something is terribly wrong.

I wish I could tell you you're wrong. I really do. But I can't.

Do you want to know what's wrong? Really know? Not many people really do. In fact most people will tell you you're nuts. They'll tell you that nothing's wrong, we're just getting the 'change' the voters want.

It's the philosophy that's wrong. It's the premise. Our politicians are arguing over the spoils of a corpse. They're going through the pockets of America looking for loose change, nothing more.

The truth is we're already dead. What's happening know is the fall of the Colossus. It may take a while, but when it finally hits the ground it's going to be really, really ugly.

If you hadn't mentioned the date, I was certain this was written in the last week or so. I forget who the talk-show host was (Rush?) but he mentioned how tyranny was the condition most of mankind has lived under and in most countries, still does today. That it is 'natural' for most of humanity.

If that is where we are headed, we'll be traveling without a guide as it is quite foreign to Real Americans. I suppose elections will no longer have consequences when either candidate supports the same power 'over' the people that lies down that path.

Yet, there hasn't been at least be some form of revolution to usher-in the "new boss", it's as though we've let it take place by osmosis.

And aren't these transistions usually violent? I mean, aren't there a few million Christians who could be rounded-up and burned for supporting life and not the wanton distruction of fetuses? And why aren't there business people hanging from lampposts as a sign to others that any unwillingness to 'spread the wealth around' will not be tolerated? Or is this still to come?

I think the answer is guns. We still have them, so they've taken the alternate route to denying liberty to individuals who, when the time is ripe, will vote for those who will legislate them away- and that's when the "fun" begins. I think most of the red flags have gone up already (check ammo supplies, etc.) in anticipation of such an event.

Personally, I wish I had more to dispose on such items, as the times seem to dictate such a response as a worthy one. That's tough to do when trying to stay afloat in this economy right now, but I realize the wrong choices will have consequences. Funny how preparedness guidelines don't include guns and ammo the way they do food and water for each person for a few days after a disaster. Imagine, self-help and preparedness manuals polluted by political correctness. Ain't that a bich.

Too late, my friend. No amount of politics can save us now. Nothing for us to do now but ride out the collapse and survive to rebuild.

Western man’s 500-year experiment in self-deification is about to come to a close.

Sorry, Jim.
