This is a good group. As an Ex Doc I can vouch for them.

I'm glad they came out with this statement, but unfortunately they support HR 3200, which shocked me. Their rationale: "we think a bill of some sort is going to be passed, and if we don't support the bill we won't get a seat at the table to influence the final version." I'm seriously considering resigning my membership if they don't drop support of this turd of a bill.

there are two HCPC (CPT) codes for foot amputation 28800 and 28805 these are the codes that physicians use to bill for reimbursement

this will show you what Medicare pays by region through out the nation Medicaid pays even less. Most payers base their reimbursement on Medicare so if you have a very good contract maybe just maybe you'll get 150% of Medicare. It amazes me that he would imply surgeons are being paid 30,000-40,000. As the surgeons state the payment you see on the governments own site (less than $1,000 in all cases) is for pre-op, the surgery and 90 days of post operative follow-up.
