The Unorganized Resistance!
Tyranny Sentinel ^ | August 19, 2009 | GeronL

Leftwing organizations have millions of members and they can afford to hire thousands and thousands of paid activists to bus to their events and protests. Some of the leftist political organizations will be recieving your tax dollars thanks to the Stimulus bill.

Even if they are in the minor they have the power to scare advertisers away from the few conservative TV programs. Companies like Geico, State Farm, Progressive, Wal-Mart and Sargiento's cheeses have stopped advertising on the Glenn Beck program due to pressure from the left.

It is time for these companies to feel a little pressure from groups on the right. Call these companies and write them letters as well as emails and tell them why you are protesting their actions. Get a sign and protest in front of your local Wal-Mart or Best Buy or Progressive Office. Its time to hit them back where it hurts.

Tell your friends and family to change their car insurance and to change their buying habits to help out. Promise them a backyard BBQ for an hour picketing the local State Farm office. We must try to counter the far left who are doing their very best to destroy this country.

So how do the conservatives even hope to compete?

Can you organize your family, freinds, neighbors? Can you cause a scene to get attention for your cause? Then you can launch your own local organization. Its not going to be done by someone else, its has to be done by each and every one of us.

Boycotts are very libertarian. Asking consumers to choose not to do business with a company for whatever reason is voluntary and libertarian to the extreme. We make those decisions all the time. Do I choose Dr. Pepper or Coca-Cola, do I choose to watch this channel or that channel.

Its chosen, its voluntary, its libertarian. Asking people to not buy a product because its a bad company for whatever reason is pure speech, pure liberty. It pollutes, it makes their food from people, it feeds dog food to old people whatever reason at all. Then with this new info they can choose to or not to buy their product or service.

Very libertarian.

The “WTF” was because that’s the first time I heard that allegation. If it’s true, I would expect the libs to scream for his arrest. It sounds to me like something taken out of context...

very out of context.

Nothing like Nina Totenberg saying Clarence Thomas should get heart disease and die, or whatever she said. How many of these companies are boycotting MSNBC?? The most hateful place on cable.

Many times in television advertising, the advertiser purchases “so many points”. “Points” is a calculation of the number of viewers that will see the ad. So, if an advertiser buys “so many points” during a week, and requests Not to be on Beck (FYI..many advertisers in radio request Not to be in or close to Rush, or Savage, or Bob & Tom, and others)Fox, in this case, would just re-arrange the spots to another time frame. Theoretically, those spots could end up in O’Reilly, Hannity or Greta. In which case they would get “x” amount of spots, based on the “points”. Is that about as clear as mud???

fours,

I have spent a few minutes reading thru your entire posting history, every post, since last September.

Is there anything you want to tell us about yourself before I comment?

I agree, boycotts are very libertarian. Pickets and protests are not — that was my point.

Also, I don’t think TV talking heads can ever be trusted; they’re all just rich guys trying to make a buck off of the people. Maybe I’m a bit more cynical about TV personalities than most.

Yes they are. As long as they're not blocking access or hitting people upside the head, they are libertarian. This is how information can be shared at the site,
