Great post.
All the info in one place.
The goal is to keep GM and Chry alive until Nov 2012 and keep a few more UAW folks working.
It did some of that, but the aftermath may be very poor sales.
Requiring another “hit” of stimulus I suspect.
Like the original Chrysler rebates (buy a car, get a check), once you start it’s really hard to stop.
Fixed it.
Thank You.
I saw on TV yesterday a woman who was buying a new car, and using the "Cash For Clunkers" Program. The woman was almost giddy, because he old car was on its last legs, and, she said, because the government was giving her money, she was now able to buy a new car!!
I thought, "The Government?"
And then I thought, "I -- and thousands of other TAXPAYERS -- just bought several new cars for lots of people."
And I did not -- even once -- hear any of the people with new cars tell ME "Thank You".
2) Man in Video: I think I can Obama My Ford Faster Than He Can Obama His Ford.Note: Obama as a Verb
1. to ruin the structure, organic existence, or condition of by government meddling
2. to put out of existence by government policy < Dude, my job just got Obamad >
He, he...
What a waste of good cars. I saw the film where they “Obama’d” the two Fords. I hang and work with people that can only afford low priced used cars, I’m also one of them. They could have used that Ford Truck and Crown Vic. That video depresses me, even to tears, it is just so much damn waste. These cars would have been better to go to vets, battered women and people who are trying to make something of themselves but need a hand up.
>What a waste of good cars
This is like when FDR was destroying livestock and crops to shore up prices while people starved during the Depression
