Secessionist movement under way in Texas
Examiner ^

Posted on 08/28/2009 11:36:04 AM PDT by wk4bush2004

Fiercely independent and thoroughly horrified at the blatantly unconstitutional explosion of federal tyranny into every aspect of our lives, Texans are set to march on the state capitol in droves on Saturday. They will be delivering a million-strong petition to their elected officials based on the 10th Amendment, demanding an immediate constitutional confrontation with Washington.

If they are turned away or their concerns inadequately addressed, organizer Gerry Donaldson says they "will be forced to call for a vote for secession." This will not be the last time a state openly defies Obama's treasonous war on the Constitution.

Donaldson, who runs his own Internet radio show, says they are "calling for an orderly process that will allow our federal government to fall back in line with the Constitution." He continued, "Either we will restore America, we will live in a Marxist dictatorship, or we will secede and start over again."

If we can successfully throw the bums out on 10 and get a bridle on this wild horse, then we give it another chance. If the rats refuse to go or destroy the electoral process, then we’ll know we’re pw3nd and there’s nothing left but to fight and die.

“Ah, so they flee the place they screwed up and then move to a place and then try to turn it into the dump they came from.”

You’re spot on. It’s why Austin is turning into yet another liberal hell hole. If they miss home that much they should get the hell out of my state.

If Texas tells the feds to take a hike, count me in. If we reverse-Galt Texas then Texas would become a major economic powerhouse.

When TX is no longer handcuffed with drilling, they won’t need to borrow.

If they do, I’m sure the Republic of Alaska will help them out.

Texas pledge: Honor the Texas flag; I pledge allegiance to thee, Texas, one state under God, one and indivisible.

“I would fight against secession as well.”

Can we expect you to take up arms against your fellow Texans?

I heard that if you can show your FReeper Membership card and get a TX FReeper to sponsor you, you’ll have no problem getting in.

I have a sponsor already.

“Texas pledge: Honor the Texas flag; I pledge allegiance to thee, Texas, one state under God, one and indivisible.”

If Texas remains in the union, then it will be possible to make the pledge honestly to both flags; I want Texas to remain in the union.

“I want Texas to remain in the union.”

This is my *wish* as well but, there might come a day...

How about if we start our own club and offer membership to those who want to join? Weed out the undesirables, if you will.

If only all the states would secede at once, we would be the United States again. Let DC see how much power they have then.

>>> That is nonsense. <<<

Oh, c’mon! Texas’ last secession vote worked out so well for the state. And all those Army types at Fort Hood are pushovers. No worries!

C’mon! Where’s your sense of adventure! /sarc

How is Texas currently handcuffed with drilling?

These people are going to be really shocked when the Demographics of the Republic of Texas shift to Democrat within ten years.
