Political pundits say former Rep. Joe Kennedy II (D-Massachusetts) may be in the running to be successor in the U.S. Senate to his leftist uncle Sen. Edward Kennedy (D-Massachusetts) who died earlier this week.
Kennedy is a friend and ally of Hugo Chavez, who as Venezuela's head of state controls Petroleos de Venezuela SA which in turn controls the U.S.-chartered CITGO.
Just like Uncle Ted, Joe Kennedy is a communist enabler too.
At the direction of Chavez, CITGO provides low-cost fuel to Kennedy's nonprofit, Citizens Energy Corporation, which he created in 1979 to provide discounted home heating oil to low-income people in Massachusetts. The CITGO effort is part of Venezuela's campaign in the U.S. to put a smiley face on Chavez's iron-fisted rule.
In one TV ad about the fuel oil program, Kennedy praised CITGO and condemned U.S. oil companies and the U.S. government: "Some people say it's bad politics to do this. I say it's a crime against humanity not to because no one - no one - should be left out in the cold."

love the logo.
hate Joe.
Hey, Massachusetts! How about coming out of the dark ages and electing someone OTHER than a Kennedy for a change. The rest of the country needs a break already!
Tah dah! The torch passes.
That’s no torch. That’s a big fat doobie.
Is he the one who is supposed to be sort of stupid?
It's a lifetime throne for sure.
Ever notice that, no matter how long or how hard you work at it, you can never scrape all of that stuff off of the bottom of your shoe?
I wonder if Chavez has a lot of rich Venzuelan supporters or has he nationalized all their assets?
While reporting from MA this morn that stupid Martha McCallum actually said, "It feels like a Kennedy should take that seat. It's been held by Ted so long, that just feels right."
Is this Kennedy s**t ever going to end?
Not as long as they keep reproducing!
Freaking inbreeding.
WTF? When did we reach the state of hereditary Peerdom?
That seat in the senate will have been the property of the Kennedy’s for over 50 years. The people of Massachusetts are idiots.
Joe “steaming socialist turd” Kennedy is the guy who tried to get his twenty year marriage annulled so he could marry his whore girlfriend in the Catholic Church. Vatican turned him and his money dowen as I recall.

In most states, this would be a problem for a Senatorial candidate. In Massachusetts it's a huge plus.
Joe Kennedy is Chavez's Communist Lover?
Given the track record of the Massachusetts electorate (Kennedy, Kerry, Frank, and that twit Markey) it could well be that Joe is the most qualified candidate in the state.
Many moved here to Orlando. They left Socialist/Communist Venezuela for Florida and vote Democrat and pro-union. Kind of like the libs from the NE. Sh@t in their nests, stink up everything till it in uninhabitable and move on to the next clean sheets.
Really! I don’t get it....do they think they’re buying protection with their support of leftists even though they can see it doesn’t work in the long run?
So screwed up!
from one of the comments that responded to the Boston Globe’s article on Joe-For-Oil’s possible run. They quoted from wikipedia:
>>”In 1973, a jeep he was driving overturned, injuring his brother David Kennedy and permanently paralyzing David’s then-girlfriend, Pam Kelley. The police cited Kennedy with reckless driving. The judge suspended his license temporarily.”
>>Doesn’t anyone remember that Joe had to withdraw from the governor’s race because of the book his first wife wrote- not only complaining about the special Kennedy dispensation from the church for annulment (to enable Joe to leave his first marriage in order to marry one of his aides) but also mentions the verbal and physical violence in her marriage- Is this the legacy we’d like to continue?
>>a jeep he was driving overturned
which reminds me of one of the funny things said on Mystery Science Theater; when the movie they were watching showed a very erratic driver, one of the robots said, “he drives like a Kennedy!”
here in Boston even the alleged conservative paper, the Herald, is WAY over the line with Ted K coverage. But the sad thing is they know people will buy it (and the paper costs 50 cents less than the Globe, in town, another incentive for people to pick it up), including a retrospective issue people could buy. They did the same kind of commemorative issue when Obama was elected. Yes, the Herald...
