9/11 Truther Van Jones Was Arianna Huffington’s Political Director
CFP ^ | Sep 4, 2009 | Matthew Vadum

Arianna Huffington’s liberal gossip site the Huffington Post has been vigorously defending green jobs czar and 9/11 “truther” Van Jones.

It turns out that Jones was Huffington’s grassroots political director when she ran for governor in the 2003 recall election. In fact, Jones, a self-described “communist,” thought Huffington was so wonderful he was part of the effort to draft her to run for office.

A San Francisco Chronicle article from Sept. 5, 2003 described Jones as Huffington’s “grassroots director.”

A Miami Herald article from Aug. 3, 2003, described Jones as a ”Bay Area activist” and “director of the Ella Baker Center for Human Rights” who was “[l]eading the charge” to persuade Huffington to run.

“Jones and the fledgling campaign have unveiled a Web site - RunAriannaRun.com - to generate enthusiasm,” the article said. Jones sent out an email the previous month to activists soliciting support for a Huffington candidacy.

``She's anti-drug war, tough on corporate crime, anti-war, anti-Bush, pro-environment, pro-electoral reform -- and smart as hell,'' Jones wrote in an e-mail sent out last week to dozens of activists. ``If anybody could pull this off, it would be Arianna.''

And she dated that kook Bill Maher.

Why Van Jones (runariannarun.com) supports Arianna

Dear friends,

Statement from Van Jones

WHO AM I & WHY AM I EXCITED ABOUT ARIANNA?

By the way, my name is Van Jones, co-founder and coordinator of RunAriannaRun.com. In my normal life, I am an African-American attorney and a police abuse activist who has worked at the grassroots level in the SF Bay Area for more than a decade. I met Arianna in August of 2000 at the west coast Shadow Convention, which she spearheaded. The Convention addressed three tough issues that both major political parties were desperately trying to ignore: the big money that is corrupting U.S. politics, the widening gap between rich and poor, and the failed drug war. It was a powerful, moving and impressive event - one that brought media attention to many important social problems. But I came away impressed, most of all, by the intelligence, integrity and wit of Arianna Huffington.

Since then, I have called her on many occasions, asking her to take a stand against numerous injustices and outrages in the U.S. criminal justice system. And, consistently, this woman of great wealth and fame has spoken out. She opposes the pointless suffering that the racially-biased, budget-busting and wholly ineffective U.S. prison system is causing African-Americans, Latinos and others. She never hesitates to blast politicians who shovel more of our tax dollars into the infinite rat hole of prison expansion - after they deposit their fat checks from prison guard unions, builders of private prisons, and others with a financial stake in the incarceration industry. Arianna has been brave enough to point out the obvious: that smarter spending on education, youth centers and drug rehabilitation programs would not only be more humane; it would achieve better results - with less money. On this issue, and so many others that matter, Arianna Huffington is a consistent, courageous champion for solutions based in both decency and common sense.

Arianna used to be a right-winger. And because of that, there are those who still doubt her sincerity. But I have seen for myself that Arianna Huffington is unimpeachably sincere in her commitments. And the fact that she possesses the strength of character to change her mind - and to do so for the sake of principle and not for personal gain - merely ADDS to her leadership credentials.

I know that many agree with me. So do the other activists who are already a part of RunAriannaRun.com. Working together, I know we can make a difference in California. Online, please find the media attention we have garnered so far (from the Oakland Tribune, The San Jose Mercury News, the SF Chronicle’s web page and Alternet.org).

Van jones.

Arianna Huffington Thanks Glenn Beck for Making Van Jones Resign

By Noel Sheppard (Bio | Archive)
September 7, 2009 - 22:12 ET

With each passing day, it becomes clear the liberal media are imploding along with the man they corruptly put in the White House.

Today’s example: according to Arianna Huffington, Glenn Beck has done Van Jones a big favor by putting so much pressure on Barack Obama’s “green jobs czar” that he was forced to resign in disgrace.

Honestly, only a liberal media member could spin someone’s resignation in such a distorted fashion.

But that’s exactly what the proprietor of the Huffington Post did Monday evening in a piece entitled “Thank You, Glenn Beck!”:

Thank you, Glenn Beck. By helping force the resignation of Van Jones, you have done a great service to your country. But in the exact opposite way than what you intended.

Your vile and vicious smear campaign has helped reverse one of the worst examples of miscasting since John Wayne took on the role of Genghis Khan in The Conqueror. [...]

Now, thanks to Glenn Beck, we’ve got that voice back. No longer tied to his desk with a sock in his mouth, Van is now freed to do what he does best: inspire and energize groups around the country. Student groups and labor groups and small business groups and middle class Americans everywhere who are losing jobs and losing homes and losing hope. He’s free to push with all his might and insight for the vision tens of millions of Americans tirelessly worked for during the presidential campaign — the vision they voted for in November — but which is now in danger of being drowned in the fetid political swamps of Washington. [...]

Glenn Beck has taken Van out of his in-the-shadows position and thrust him into the spotlight. I told Van after his resignation that I hope he will take the extra attention and energy Beck created for him and, like a jujitsu black belt, turn the blow into an opening, an opportunity to transform the negative attack into something positive for himself and for the country.

One would think the Huffington Post would disclose how tight Jones and Huffington are, yet the website doesn’t bother to do so in its articles.

Whatever happened to ethics in journalism? Oh wait, I forgot: the Huffington Post isn’t journalism.

African-American attorney

Why do African Americans call themselves African Americans? And not all do this - my friends don’t. Just as I don’t walk around saying I am a white stay at home mother. I mean...who gives a flip what color you are??????? I want to know what you BELIEVE; your THOUGHTS; your PHILOSOPHY. Van Jones could have been hidden in a box, and I still would feel the SAME way about him! He’s a fruit loop wanting to take down our capitalist society.

Jeez Louise Obama. Grow the heck up, and stop manipulating & toying with Americans.

“John-” Roger Hinkins shares with Arianna Huffington a reputation for having two faces, one of seductive, overpowering charm and the other for a nasty temper.

Huffington suffers from 9/11 Truther disease just like Van Jones. The entire Democrat party is conspiracy cult. They all believe "Bush Knew" or something like that..

Look who else is a Truther...
