It was wall to wall from Freedom Plaza all the way to the Capitol. Not only that, it was like that when we started marching and like that behind us when we got to the Capitol.

Here is an awesome video showing the progressive gathering of the massive crowd at the 9/12 "Taxpayers March on Washington" today. You can see the U.S. Capitol in the distance, where the massive crowd marched to from Freedom Plaza.
The video shows the crowd gradually growing and marching down the street to the Capitol. It is clearly a crowd in the hundreds of thousands if not millions. So far, estimates have ranged from "tens of thousands" to "1.5 - 2 million." . . . (VIDEO)

I was there and it was a very large crowd, but I’m not sure that I’m ready to sign up for 1.2 million. I’d like to see a professional estimate from the guys who work from aerial photographs - I don’t trust the news media either way.
Everyone was very friendly and polite, even the crumb snatchers, pretty frightening.
