In a story that appears to have gone largely unnoticed on this big news weekend, John Charlton of The Post And Mail reported yesterday that the New Hampshire Secretary of State – at the request of a New Hampshire State Representative – will investigate whether fraud was involved with regard to Obama’s name appearing on the ballot in New Hampshire:

I think this will go nowhere since it is very likely that the Secretary of State will simply point out that the law only requires the certification of the Democratic National Committee that Obama is the Democratic nominee for the office. They have that certification.

OTOH, if New Hampshire law requires that the DNC cert specifies that Obama meets the constitutional requirements for the office of the President of the United States then the Secretary of State just might have a problem - because it is very unlikely that New Hampshire received any such certification.

Worth watching.

This story keeps being copied from one blog to another without confirmation from the NH Secretary of State that he in fact agreed to investigate!

There has been absolutely nothing from Gardner about this in NH newspaper/TV web sites or at the NH Secy of State’s web site.
