I have to give John Stewart mad props...as a white pimp would say...for not hiding from this story as other liberals are and actually took ACORN to task, and even more for calling out the MSM on their non-reporting. I agree with this guy maybe 1% of the time, and this is that 1%:

This was a great segment.
Even a broken clock is right twice a day.
Jon Stewart displays good judgement from time to time.
Thanks - that was awesome! LOL!
When John Stewart gets it . . . we’re making serious progress.
It's all the funnier because it's TRUE!!!
My favorite part “I’m a fake reporter, and even I’m embarrassed to be scooped by these two!!!”
Fake, but accurate!
It’s telling to hear the audience....or hear nothing from the audience. It’s like they were aghast John would have something bad to say about ACORN.
I’m not much of a Jon Stewart fan, but he hit the nail right on the head with his criticism of the MSM in this case.
“Second of all, where were the real reporters on this story? You know what investigative media, see me on camera three: Where the hell were you? You know who broke this story? These two.” (Shows picture of O’Keefe and Giles.) “You’re telling me that two kids from the cast of “High School Musical III” can break this story with a video camera and their grandmother’s chinchilla coat? And you got nothing? They did it for $3,000, and that’s Blitzer’s monthly beard Wetvac budget. It probably cost CNN that much to turn on their hologram machine. I’m a fake journalist, and I’m embarrassed these guys scooped me.”
I noticed that too...I laughed my a** off and yet only nervous chuckles from the audience...I guess they were shocked that Jon was not going to really bash FOX...
FReep mail me if you want on/off the list.

I'm a fake journalist, and I'm embarrassed these guys scooped me.":'D Funny, but the fact is, they *did* scoop him. Was there even a peep out of that piece of partisan trash during the election campaign, when ACORN's activities had already begun to emerge?
“Sometimes you don’t.” ;’)
Excellent pic.
Did you hear Jackie Mason interviewed on Rush (or was it Hannity?) last week? He said he's been doing Obama jokes for months, but audiences have only very recently started laughing at them. Previously he got nervous silence or even boos.
It'll take the younger, further left, LA-la-land (or is it NYC?) Daily Show studio audiences longer than Mason's older cabaret and Vegas crowds, but they'll get there.
I bet if Stewart had done a bit like this -- implicitly praising conservatives and crediting Fox News -- even a month or two ago he would have gotten audible groans. Twittering is movement.
As usual the MSM -- in calling criticism of Obama "racially driven" -- has it exactly backward. The truth is the mushy American middle is finally getting over it's racially driven reluctance to criticize Obama, and radical organizations affiliated with him or representing his ideology and policy preferences. They're finally starting to see him, and react to him, like any other politician.
Stewart may or may not grasp this consciously, but he and his writers certainly do so at least unconsciously. When there's blood in the water, successful topical comedians are among the first to smell it. It's in their nature. Most of them -- or some of them, at any rate enough of them -- will be unable to resist the feeding frenzy.
Liberal comedians will tell themselves they're only helping to "humanize" Obama, which will help Obama, and most will certainly try to spin the satire in that direction. But Obama won't cooperate. His thin skinned haughtiness and self-absorbtion won't let him.
This will gradually get ugly. Stock up on popcorn.
