William Jacobson, Legal Insurrection with thoughts on my Bill Ayers No Dream post. (Yes, you can use the phrase:) Bill Ayers was not polite company though, so it wasn't a strain.

And how about this RootsWeb dossier on one Bill Ayers. Sent in by an informed reader.

“peasants and the proletariat. It made me think later that he might be a Marxist!””

*Mr. Hulton contacted King Harvest on September 27, 2009 to indicate that his original recollection of the conversation with Tom Ayers relayed to King Harvest was inaccurate. Mr. Hulton states that instead of the words “peasants and proletariat” Tom Ayers referred to “the the struggle between the common man and those with the means or power” in society.

Like me, he has probably been contacted by a member of the Ayers clan.

Most postmen, have very good memories. They have 500-1000 homes that they visit five days a week. Every morning they must sort thousands of pieces of mail. They only glance at the address, and sort most pieces by name. They do not have the time to stop and talk to most people, so when people take the time to converse with them during the day, they remember the details, especially when it's someone who is so generous every December.
